LOL, I think it has more of a praying mantis face Kymco is probably not too much on the dark side, it's the only scooter the local Harley shop sells and works on. Interesting, there is a place here in town that rents Harley bikes and Kymko scoots. Wonder what the connection is?

I know you will take a lot of pleasure from this new scoot. And, yes, Sport Bikers will wave. Congratulations. :riding:

I love the Super 8. Yes and the Kymcos seem to be super reliable. There is a guy at my work who rides one everyday rain snow sun. I have seen it in the parking lot everyday for 1.5 years now.

I'm in a state of envy. Nice scooter for sure! It looks like the body may be a big hassle to disassemble but let's hope you never have to.

Update - Got the stock rear turn signals off and fashioned new brackets like in the tech section here. Painted black and mounted. But as i was putting the first LED light on i over tightened the nut and broke the light off the shaft (bolt). The set of 2 cost $30 so i"m trying a fix. I put a nut on the end of the shaft where it is supposed to connect to the light and glued the nut and shaft to the light pulling on the wires that run through the bolt to secure it. I put a cardboard washer between the two to give the glue something porous to grab onto.. I also put glue on the wires so they are bonded to the inside of the shaft holding it as well. A little black paint to hide the ugliness and a second nut to mont the whole thing. Put a dummy nut on the other light and black paint so they match. Seems like it may hold and worth the attempt. All drying tonight so we'll see if it looks ok in the morning.

Thanks i just tried to think "what would Brent do?". ;D
The light is just plastic so should not put too much stress on the joint. Time will tell.

That surpasses what I'd do. I'd curse at it and set it aside. lol

That surpasses what I'd do. I'd curse at it and set it aside. lol See that is exactly what i did. LOL So all set up and mounted now. After the pics i used touch up paint to "black out" the nut and wires on the underside of the fender.

Well my work schedule is a little wonky this week so i got up yesterday morning with a few open hours. Noting to do but some random Twisty Hunting. Jumped on with no plan but headin' north. It was great feeling the first hints of the cool fall air that is just around the corner. Ended up in Buffalo MO having a Buffalo Burger for lunch and got home 88 miles later still grinning. Ended up in such a good mood that i decided to endure the DMV for the second time in a week and did my MC skills test. It was not pretty but i passed so i'm a now full fledged BigScoot Pilot. The ride and a few runs around town brings me to 400 miles so i went in for my first service today. Switched to synthetic oil. I'm gonna baby this baby. All in all it's been a good first week.

Congatulations on the license! BigScoot Pilot, I like that. You just have to decide to do it, and then do it
