Got my first scoot in Feb but it was used & abused & cracked the piston so I ended up buying a new 2014 Jazzie by TaoTao with the 1P39QMB engine. Been a member on scooter doc forum for a short while and saw videos by 90gtvert on youtube while looking for tips on improving my new scoot for mountain living. Asked there and Alleyoop recommended I join here too, says I will get great advice.
Lived in this area most my life, but until I was 8 we lived in Myrtle Beach. My dad was a firefighter at Station #3 from 1972-1977. Lived in Roanoke VA from 2002-2011.
I'm a divorced, disabled, country girl that don't mind getting her hands dirty working on a vehicle. Around here, we learn to do for ourselves, just in case, lol.

I have a mesh vest that has big reflective stripes down it. If the sun ain't shinin' the vest is on my back. And if by chance I need to haul more stuff in a back pack, then I'll strap the vest around the trunk. Gonna get some reflective tape for the trunk too. But right now I mostly ride in daytime, thanks to the long summer hours. Come winter, I'll be riding with coveralls and reflective tape on the trunk.

Well I have been given fluro vest concerned about me riding a scooter as i am disabled on paper from a parachute accident 27 year ago. My nephew is giving me a KLR650 due to arrive tomorrow so i am happy about that Get your scooter going faster as its safer |

Welcome aboard. There's quite a few members here with Tao Tao machines (myself being one of them), so there's a lot of experience here here that you can draw from. If you're looking to tune the machine, or just want a good read in general, see the Project Tao Tao thread in the Builds section: 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/6365/project-taotao-stroke-experiences-upgrades Lot's of great info there. As pointed out in the PDI vids, fuel and vac lines should be changed out if you haven't already done so. Enjoy the scoot  |
