So one night I was surfing the good ole' internets looking for replacement parts for this new (to me) contraption sitting here in my basement...of course I got side tracked by big valve heads and big bore kits....after clicking a few links I found myself here. It didn't help my desire to buy performance stuff.
I am that guy who is old enough to know better but to young to care...my wife and I decided maybe a scooter was a good idea as our '66 Galaxie isn't the best on fuel around town and she will be working in town soon....so craigslist pointed us to this here 2 wheel terror that now resides across my floor...150 bucks! What a steal.......it had been left uncovered in a back yard in a sorta-state of "repair" for a year.
So now I am going through fixing all of the previous guys fixes...new throttle cable, battery, ignition switch, pulled the carb apart and cleaned the gelatinous blob that was once fuel out, tank is going to work with me today to clean that out, oil change, fuel filter (duh), and what ever else I find on the way.
The scoot itself is a benzou yy50qt-6....or at least thats what it says on the plastic. The goal is to get it running well....then sneak on parts when my wife isn't looking.....

What size tire do you have? It might be the picture but they look a little skinny.

Lol! thanks, yep...everything will get port matched and i will bump the compression up to 12 to 1, 110 octane is on order.......

okay...no, but you can see my basement has an abundance of parts from everything else that has ever been in my driveway, that 3 inch down pipe came from my old SRT, the white bag is covering a 306 ford i've been slowly working on and that tote under it is a pile of spare ford FMX 3 speed parts.

dan50...it has 120/70-12 tires on it, decent tread, i'll run them until i need new ones....its probably just the wonky angle of the photo
Scooterpimp...lol, it may have had some tape on that fender at one time, fender mounting tab is broken....amongst several other little broken bits of plastic.
moofus02....i generally brought up a bbk the other day....she likes the idea....lol i got me a keeper!
