I read some post and some people change the original CDI for a better one. I have a Kymco People 50S 4T and i have a 72cc kit on and the original CDI fr om Kymco. My top speed is around 43~46 mph (70~75 km\h). If i change the CDI did i'm going to have better performance? If yes, which CDI is better the orange one we see on Ebay is it good? Thank'S

I don't really know which CDIs are good and which aren't. Some have nothing special, just no rev limiter. If you are going 46MPH, you probably don't have one anyway. Others will advance the timing. Advanced timing can make a little more power in some cases, sometimes it's hard to notice. It may require the use of higher octane fuel. My vote would be to save your money. You can actaully advance or retard your base timing by modding the pickup's bracket for free. The other option would be to take the key out of the flywheel and clock it different to get the timing you desire. The former option is the easiest and least likely to get things way out of wack. I think modding the pickup is good for maybe 3 degrees either way from stock.

That's the way I understand it too, if you don't have a rev limited cdi, you don't need a performance one because you are not going to get anything more out of it. And modding the timing is a good idea too.
