Just curious if any of you buy from aliexpress? You're basically buying directly from the wholesaler. I found new gauges for my scooter for $22 with shipping included. Same thing is $50 on ebay, more from an online scooter shop. Exact same part. You can find the same BBK and parts that you can on most shop sites, cheaper. Takes longer than ordering from the states, but might be worth it. I've found mina bbk cylinders for less than $15 a piece.

Yep. There are different stores like eBay. Some you have to buy lots of an item others will sell one. Quality varies. I had excellent luck with suspension and brake parts. Shipping only took four days in my case.

I made my first 2 orders from AliExpress this year. So far, so good. First was " RPM Racing Professional Motorcycle Accessories Store" to order a larger front brake system. Price was way better than anywhere else. Delivered in just over a week. Really like the brake. Second was a programmable CDI from seller "SuperTurbo". Again, no complaints. Delivery in about 2 weeks. I had to message them to get the instructions and software, but response was under an hour with links to download. Haven't tried it yet, but it's basically $100 cheaper than any other fully programmable ignitions that I am aware of. AliExpress prob isn't for anyone wanting the fastest service or top tier parts, but so far so good with getting what I asked for and expected at good prices in reasonable amounts of time. I have used them basically for things I can't find elsewhere or for dramatically lower pricing.

I have pages of orders from aliexpress.
Quality is all over the place, but the price reflects that. I have ordered stuff for my house, tools, bearings, multimeters, scooter parts, electronics.. tons of things
Some stuff is here in days, I have had orders take 2 months. it is not a site if you are in a rush... you can pay extra for faster shipping but the price goes thru the roof on a lot of orders.
I have only been burned once, and aliexpress fixed it up real quick, I got a refund. And that is out of probably 100+ orders

I agree with pito...quality is variable. In Thailand, we are lucky to have good trade agreements with Alibaba/Aliexpress, so often no shipping cost and no customs tax. Further, there is a business "Lazada", which is a joint venture between Alibaba and Thai people. (Lazada is also Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia)The trick for learning about quality, is price is the first give away. Then ask for very specific details. If they cannot give that they are third party, if they are the manufacturer, they will respond quick. For us, order through AliExpress-Thailand is near seamless, but not all parts orders have local stock. I just ordered a headlight cover/fairing/fender for my Honda CRF project...$118 shipped for carbon fiber! THis, from a company named "Carbon House". Could trace it...China?

I have never ordered anything for the scoots from AliExpress, but I have ordered a ton of otter stuff from there. I’ve always been in too much of a hurry for scoot parts. The only thing I cation is if you are ordering name brand stuff. Read the description very carefully. It may have the right logos and look just like the real thing, but if th e price is a fraction of the real items price, it most likely is not the real thing. A couple of hints is if it says it comes without orginal box, chances are good it is not “real”. Also read the description closely. Example I was ordering some table tennis rubber and the description said “Genuine Rubber Butterfly Elite...”. Note it does not say “genuine Butterfly Elite rubber”

Aliexpress orders can take a long time, but if you are willing to wait, such as items needed for stock and spares, they do alright. A good quality CVT short case was a lot less than other vendors, and I thought very nicely done. It took time to get here. Some specific parts are just the same as you get from more local vendors, such as tail/brake-light assemblies. The quality was just as good as the originals. I have ordered BBKs from a couple vendors. The parts seem fine, but one vendor seemed unable to pack them properly for trans-oceanic shipment. They did step up and send a second shipment(two 47mm sets) which arrived also a bit mussed. Nicks and rattle damage here and there, but likely tolerable damage that would not affect operation, but might allow seepage. Between the 4 sets now available, I think I can get two perfectly good ones. I ordered a COB LED 'light saber' for about $12 that has a built-in rechargeable battery that I really like and use a lot. I also got a couple tachometers that were more than double on the bay or the river, exact same thing, and another couple tach/run timers that I will use on my mower engines. The same thing, lower cost, and a delivery delay. You might consider searching both the bay and river for items that appeal, then use the description to search on aliexpress. Their search and naming terminology take some thinking to get what you want to show up. tom
