Where did you come across/learn about this band? I’m headed into google to look them up. A buddy of mine shot me a link and I’ve been playing the album a lot. Probably going to order the disc if I can track it down without too much trouble (plus my YT downloader software just went kaput).

I’m learning, I’m learning. When I started the doc, I was thinking “why isn’t Rollins in this?” And 5 seconds later, there’s Henry! I love his show, but he can drive me right up the wall with his chattering vs playing the damn music (Black Flag was the first punk band I ever saw - snuck out and went to see them play. Mind blowing to say the least).

Watched that doc when it came out and downloaded the music from itunes or amazon or something like that, but they link to hard copies and downloads on their site. deathfromdetroit.com/death%20music%20page.htm

Somewhere around 1988 my mother and I were digging through a $1 cassette bin and found this album. I wore my cassette out and bought it later on CD. I only know the Buzzcocks songs from this album. Reminds me of my discovery of Black Sabbath. There's a local "salvage" place that I think buys inventory from overstock and sometimes stuff from wrecked tractor trailers. I used to go in there basically weekly with my grandparents when I was a kid. At that point I had just discovered some of the first music that I liked on my own, not my parents' Roy Orbison or country or pop radio songs. The Doors was my favorite at that point. Anyway, the salvage store got some cassettes in for $1-2 each. I rummaged through them, not knowing what I was looking for. Then I came across an album cover that I thought looked cool, and got granny to buy it for me. Luckily she didn't pay any attention to what the cover was or it would have been a no. It was Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath. A metalhead was born and that's still one of my favorite albums ever. I also recall buying my first White Zombie CD before I knew who they were or heard Thunderkiss '65 on the radio. I saw the title "La Sexorcisto : Devil Music Volume 1", the first track called Welcome to Plante MF, and the art and had to see what that was all about. Album art and titles used to really work.

Black Sunshine is probably my favorite tune of the Zombie songs I know.
Now I’m thinking of another album, maybe I’ll post tomorrow. I know I’m gonna repeat stuff on here. It just means I’m either listening to it again or thinking about it.

I bought this album by mistake trying to find the Bohemian one. I’ll never regret buying this album and to this day is the only Queen album I own. This is my original cassette from back in 1988ish

Finding some intersting stuff on You tube a band called the Tofu Love Frog's from East London, worked with them for many decades not so much these days but we still see each other. The chap at the beginning on the bongo's is Chris who about 5 yrs ago got a knighthood to Sir Chris for his input to the music industry, they played at my ex wifes wake after the funeral. My son Callum got engaged on Chris's stage at Glastonbury Festival about five yrs ago to Freya who is now his wife. Paddy is still the main singer and Nula did fiddle, Chris still did Bongo's and the band below Alabama 3 another good band we worked with in the early days in the UK remember when the played at the Angel pub in Islington, I even got a mention on this song at 3.39 I think. Both bands have played together on odd occasiions.
