Everytime i start my scooter (cold) i need to start 2 times. The first time he didn't keep his idle, i need to restart and give half trottle in gas and after he keep his idle???
When i play with the mixture screw, i didn't see big difference between close to 1½ turn, over that the motor slow down. Plus the scooter lack of power in acceleration. The needle jet was set 1 clip down of the middle.
The carburetor is brand new, 20mm and the electric choke work good. _______________________________________________
Today i put the Needle clip at the last groove on the bottom of the needle with the jet #95.
Now it's better, more response in acceleration, i'm going to try like this some miles. But if i play with the mixture screw the carb did not respond. If i close the screw he die, close to 1½ i have a idle but no change...
If i put a Pilot jet #38 is going to help something???
My setup:
72cc kit Rollers 5.9g 20mm carburetor Main jet #95 Needle jet (1 clip down of the middle) Pilot jet #35 Mixture screw 1½ open Original air box open with 6 holes 1"

Look for a vacuum leak or valve adjustment to fix the idle. I'd stick with the 35 idle jet and consider trying an 85 to 90 for the main to help your improve your acceleration.

What carburetor do you have? I know on my 2 stroke I had a Gurner carb and the throttle plunger was dificult to get installed correctly. When it was installed incorrect it would not be affected by the idle set screw. I could turn the screw in and out to no affect. also you say the choke works well, how do you know that it works well? One last thing have you disconnected the fuel line to see if there is good flow when you try to crank the engine? Maybe your carb is fuel starved.

I think they have the stock CV carb, a butterfly valve type. I had problems getting a consistent idle when I had a too small idle jet, have you tried a 40? Mine would idle high until it dropped onto the idle circuit.
