Well, about 2 years ago I decided to pick up a scooter to get to and from work. After searching the market, I knew that as much as I wanted a Ruckus, I couldn't afford it. So my only choice would be a Chinese scooter. I picked up this 2011 Peacesport Sports 50 for $350. It was only 1 year old and had 2400 miles on it.
Yeah I could of picked up an older brand name scooter for the same price, but I wanted something relatively new. So first things first. Plastidip it flat black as I didn't like the color scheme.
Looked much better. Then I ordered an exhaust for it off of ebay
Fit perfect. I liked the sound but I was getting bored with it. So I picked up an extra motor mount to extend, NYC Lowering bracket and adjusted the front fronts. BAM!
6" stretch and lots of low. By this time I had picked up a cone filter and 88 jet to go along. Ran perfect. We clocked it at 47mph on what is a basically stock 50. Was having fun with it. I decided to paint the wheels
But all good things gotta come to an end, or a halt.CVT belt snapped on my way home. So a Gates was purchased as a replacement.
And in the process of getting the scooter home, the plastidip got all messed up. So this time I committed and decided to paint it and have it match my car. So I took of the panels, got the ready for primer and gave them to my dad.
And the first coat of paint went on. Firemist Purple with rainbow flake
And once put back together it looked like this. I painted the wheels black also.
I had a leak on the exhaust from hitting stuff but it finally finished it self off at this point
And then it went back together!
And back apart. Clutch exploded lol. New clutch going in
and back together!
God how i hated those mirrors. One morning on my way to work, it started making this grinding noise and just died on me. tried to crank it over but wouldn't start. So since I wasn't far from home, I walked it there. Once I took it apart, I found out the flywheel came undone from the welds in the middle. Odd. Anyways it was a good excuse for more mods! So I picked up this 80cc bbk engine already put together for $75 and threw it on. You can see my old 50cc next to it.
I upjeted and it was running fine, but not perfect. I had also removed the big mirrors and replaced them with a small bike mirror along with a little wing on it.
After this, all I did was ride. I had a few problems with stators and regulators but were quickly fixed.
more riding!
Parked at home
Well recently the mod bug bit me again and I had to do something to it. I've always liked the big tall tire on the rear, but nothing wide. I did some research and found I could pick up a mini fatty for around $150. Not bad but also not what I was looking for in my budget. So i did more research and found someone that stuffed a 120/90/10 on a shortcase. biggest time you can run. There we go! that's a challenge. Since I was time to order tires, I picked up a 90/90/10 for the front since the 3.50/10 was rubbing the frame some and a 120/90/10 for the rear.
Did a test fit yesterday before cutting some stuff on the engine
And finished it today
More mods will come in the future. Been looking into an Air ride kit, EFI kit and a tiny turbo lol just because
