Controversial to say the least. Im just not keen on the whole electric vehicle gimmick. Im a fan of E85 and think thats a more practical replacement for gasoline than electric vehicles.
Just my humble opinion. Flame me if you will.

My boss just got a Tesla and I'm impressed! I wouldn't have it as a sole vehicle because your limited on traveling distance but as Tesla and others open more charging stations that should improve. His son is an engineer at Tesla so that was an influence for him for sure but it's a sweet car. Quick too!

I heard some people are making diesel electric hybrid motorcycles too. I bet those would be a blast to drive either way. 100% of your power at any rpm and unheard of gas mileage or no fuel used for the full electric ones. Either or would more than likely make a great commuter vehicle and be a good conversation piece at bike meets.
