Two strokes smoke and they smoke more when they've been sitting. It should clear up once it's warmed up. My Zuma smokes like hell when it's been sitting. The po put some crappy oil in the tank. There are low ash oils that smoke less if it bothers you. I like Lucas semi synthetic.

Tx!!
I fixed it. Smoke went away. I also tinkered agsin with the idle and fuel ratio screws and got it just rihht so that the engine is responsive on full throttle and gets the usual max speed of low to mid 40 mph on straightaways. Every time it quivkly settles back down to 2000 rpm at idle. At first it started idling at 2500 or msybe 2600 and when I tried to loosen the idle screw I discovered just how sensitive it is. The scoot would cut off and not start. Tightened it again it ran fine agsin.
So I started again and adjusted the idle ever so slightly. Now she sits at 2000 rpm at stop signs etc and doesn't bounce around or sputter or dip diwn too low.
I'm super happy! !
Of course the battery non load charge has dropped down agsin to 12.35 so I'll need to plug in the battery tender. But for now everything seems fixed.
