Scooter-system.fr lays it out pretty well here.
www.scooter-system.fr/news/594-malossi-cylindre-big-bore.htmlI can have either 77cc or 86cc depending on the crank used... "So after several copies cylinders MHR Team and MHR Team Cross in 6 or 7 transfers the Italian decides to pass the milestone of 70cm3 to tackle heavy, very heavy. He proposes a MHR Big Bore cylinder 77 and 86cm3 of an inner diameter of 50mm. Specifically, it is the biggest novelty of the equipment for months, a cylinder that completely revolutionizes its catalog. For benefits information, this hardened aluminum cylinder with 7 transfers are accompanied by a single segment protruding head piston, a 50mm-diameter segment and a thickness of 0.8mm cast KDN5 so that a breech decomposable high quality.
Malossi therefore provides two different displacements of competitors according to the stroke of the crankshaft . For further explanation, a crankshaft called "standard" a 39.2mm stroke and a 80mm rod ( Minarelli ) or 39.3mm and 85mm ( Piaggio ) provides a displacement of 77cc (due to diameter 50 the cylinder). For 44mm stroke crankshaft and a connecting rod length 85mm (Minarelli and Piaggio), the engine will 86cm3 obtained ... in one word: a monster!
Of course, the Big Bore cylinder is sold in two models: one for a race 39 and a second for the race 44 (the diagrams of time are changed). Suffice to say that this cylinder is able to compete with larger, one thinks of course the famous brand such as Cristofolini and 2Fast . A marvel signed Malossi sold around 350 euros, excellent quality / price."

Yes, the minarelli 49cc and 90cc have the exact same stud spacing- it's the other engines like the BWS/Aerox 100 that have the different stud spacing. Already had someone here contact me about the extra cylinder. If he doesn't get it I'll let u know!

Am I understanding that the 90 is the same cylinder that I have, but when used with the bigger crank and spacer it becomes a 90? I know that mine is a 50mm bore.

I know that you can use an 85mm rod on the Mina but then it needs the spacer. I wonder what it bumps it up to? An 80?
