I am having the time of my life locating a magneto gasket for 1990 Jog CG50. I was wondering if this gasket is even necesary, or if I could get by with using silicone sealant or something like that... Thanks in advance for all the replies

Those are gaskets for the horizontal minarelli. I need the one for a vertical minarelli. The horizontal stuff is always easy to find. The thing is I have switched to premix, but there is still grease packed in there. When I switched from injection to premix all I did was remove the resevoir and lines and cap off the ports on the oil pump. So now that Im running premix, I dont need the gasket?

I wouldn't worry about the gasket if you've switched to premix, maybe spend a little time cleaning some of the grease out of there or it may start splattering all over magneto and flywheel.

Sweet! I was looking (thoroughly lol) and I see that the oil pump cavity doesnt protrude into the crank case. So, yea, I will clean the grease up and leave the oil pump out and cover the hole...Sweet!! Thanks!! 49ccscoot save my @$$ again!!
