Hello thought I would open a build thread to show you all the progress on the scooter it's a kymco cobra cross 50cc on a 2003 plate got the scooter off a friend for a rock bottom price of nothing! Scooter had been sitting around for 3 years as he had lost interest in doing it up it wouldn't start when I got it so stripped and cleaned the carb and reeds and All the fuel system put fresh petrol in and cleaned the spark plug it started but wasnt running to well Atall until one of the lads on here told me to check the earth wires once they were all connected properly it now runs asvsweet as a nut I'm not planning on doing too much performance wise yet just plan on getting it on the road and rideable any hints or tips would be very much appreciated thanks

I 'think' we are the only Cobra owners here on the forum? I know ive seen some come and go but no real build threads to speak of.. Ive done work to mine but i wouldnt really call it a build.. Here is my thread 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/972/03-kymco-cobraMine is really a Cross as well. I wrote "CobraR" as the build title because i switched mine around to be more like the Racer. I am now leaning toward switching it back to the Cross style. I really enjoyed it more when i could hit the ditch, or go offroad and have fun with it. Since going to Michelin dual compound tires its no good offroad. |

Nice thread! Its nice to see what a cross looks like when fully assembled haha mine is missing a few panels and needs a little bit tlc Hopfully be on the road by the middle of next month just waiting till payday so I can treat her to some new ones I've been trying to post pictures from photobucket but I'm using my phone and can't seem to get the hang of sharing them onto here but I will find out how! :-) and as for being the only cobra owners on here it will be nice to have a different two stroke build to look at
