I'm still tuning my latest motor build. Last wide open run on Kanner Hwy was 68mph. I ran a consistent 64 on the previous motor with a bbk, pipe, carb, reeds, and some transmission goodies. That motor has the stock crank and was turning 10,500 rpms. This one 12,500. Well I don't know if I'd need to go that fast with it. But knowing me, having too much is better than not having enough. I'd be happy to just ride down US1 without people honking and passing me. Getting it home from Salerno down Dixie was fun, I nearly ate the median on US1 just before Salerno lol. But that was my only real wobble. My GF did better on it her first time but that was in a parking lot. I just want it to go over 35mph without spending twice the cost of the bike I guess. The exhaust will be a must to replace, since most of it is covered in rust. It's only a matter of time before I get an exhaust leak. I'll have to wait till I get it put back together with the new throttle handle this weekend and post some pics in the right part of the forum too. There will be much to discuss I'm sure and PM's are welcome you guys. Nice to know there's some locals I can talk to and collaborate with on here!

I'm sure we can get it to 45 without spending much. It maybe in the gearing or a limiter of sorts. Post a pic when you can.

I want to check fluids and such, drive belt, clutch and so on. It's got 4,400 miles on it so I know it needs some TLC. But it runs and doesn't hesitate so there's hope. I'll have pics soon!

Hi jhobe6678
I had a Baccio VX50. It got stolen a few weeks back though. It was also a 2007..and in FLA... Hmmm... Haha j/k j/k!
I miss that scoot for sure! It's bigger than typical scoots and therefore heavier, but I had it going 46mph consistently with a $50 China BBK (70cc Big Bore Kit) and a $100 ebay tuned pipe. Some 1500 yellow RPM clutch springs really helped it out! ($15)

Don't worry, mine came with a title and all, the guy I got it from had it since 2012 That's good to know though! I'll have to do some research on the bore kits and the pipe. Though I'd imagine I'd like to just replace the clutch itself by now probably. It may take me a little while, but the BBK, Exhaust, Belt and Cluck would be a must. Maybe a better intake too, once I figure out the oil drip.

Is the oil tank full? These things are known to leak from the tank where the sender goes into it. You can pull the sender out, clean it and wrap it it Teflon tape or just don't fill it past the sending unit.

I'll take a look at it this weekend maybe and do as you said.

10-4. Figure out a budget and what your wanting and there will be a lot of help and experience. My parts are a bit on the higher end race side but I don't use the scoot for transportation unless I choose to ride to work. I doubt you really need a clutch. I've got a stock Zuma with over 8k miles and the clutch looks new. New springs may help.

I'll just have to wait till I can take it all apart and I'll show pictures to get opinions. I'll just have to get some pictures and make a post on where it is now and where I'd like it to be really. Thanks man
