I don't know anything about that brand or model specifically. Most Chinese stuff is on kinda a similar qulaity level, so you can probably expect to make adjustments and tighten things upon arrival as well as changing out the shipping oil with some good motorcycle oil (those engines use a wet clutch). That said, I've wanted one of those for a long time. It's a different engine platform than what you'll find in most scooters. It's a chain driven clutchless manual (semi-auto) more similar to the Honda Cub, Honda trail bikes, and most accurately what's found in more modern Chinese made pitbikes and midbikes. IIRC the 50cc can have bore kits installed to go to 88cc. There are also lots of engines available that can swap in, easily found by searching ebay. Since it's chain driven, you can change final drive ratios by simply swapping the front and/or rear sprocket (way easier than gear changes in typical scoots). Long story short : If you want something with a lot of modding potential that's a little different than most of the scoots you'll run into it's a good choice. I'm not sure what to tell you on the real world gas mileage they get. I do know that my midbikes with modded versions of that engine were quite reliable. The semi-auto transmission is fun to drive too. One bad thing about the semi-auto is that most states would not consider that a scooter or moped I don't think. I know at least mine (MD) won't. They state that scooters and mopeds must have fully automatic transmissions.

I've seen and rode one of those locally here in lafayette and they are considered a motorcycle in Indiana due to the manual gear changes. The one I looked at was a brand new one, extremely sluggish. Not at all what I was expecting from a "motorcycle". The one I looked at was a Roketa brand.

I know a guy that has a couple of them and really likes them. I do not know about their performance abilities. But I'm pretty sure the 100cc version of that motor will go in that bike, not positive. Here are some online dealers for them. onetwo

The 100cc+ engines have the same mounts and you can usually get them in the same starter configuration to fit just like the stocker (some have electric start top mounted, some are electric start bottom mounted, and some are kick start only). The only issue I know of is that the larger cc engines need more space from the block forward because they have a longer stroke. From those pics, it looks like more than enough room there.

and if you are real brave, they make a 125cc motor like that too.

A 125cc with a manual clutch (you'll need to figure out a way to control both brakes and a clutch like adding a foot brake lever similar ot a motorcycle) would be night and day compared to a 49cc semi-auto. The 49cc is probably good for 35MPH. A 125cc manual should be capable of 55MPH or better if geared right. That may be a low figure. A freind of mine changed the gearing and I tuned the carb and modded the exhaust on a 110cc midbike and he went over 60MPH. That was a smaller and lighter bike though. Here's that bike so you can see the acceleration as well. The vids not on my youtube anymore. I took it down cause everyone stole it from me since the speed was a big deal when they first came out, but you can see it's my road and my house at the end if you watch my other vids. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5051229929846388918#Same bike and rider vs an F150.

I thought I found the 125 with the same auto clutch in it. These are remakes of the Honda 50/90/110. I have owned several Honda 90's and a 110, both were capable of 55 mph with a fresh plug and points on a stock motor, later models had electronic ignitions as I recall.

You might be able to get the 125s in an auto or semi-auto. I haven't been into these engines for a bit. As performance goes though the chain is auto<semi-auto<manual. The manual clutch motors really did shine compared to the semis from my experience. I'd love to try out the 150+cc versions out now, but I don't have anything to put it in (my 88cc is crazy enough for the tiny thing I have it in) and they get kinda pricey. They are basically a remake... but they are a bit different so you can't always run to the Honda shop if you need parts. If you do know what works where, don't tell the parts guy at the Honda shop what it's for unless you want a hassle... trust me lol. The later models (pretty much everything you'll find on new scoots, midbikes, pitbikes, and replacement engines) feature a stator and CDI much more similar to what you'd find on scoots.
