Looks like fun; thanks very much for the pics. I need to get moving and put the appropriate emergency supplies together before taking that long a trip...

I say a Dr. Pulley vari & sliders along with a set of a notch stiffer clutch pill springs would be a good place to start. Some other vari could be better though? If you really want a good launch then go up two notches on the pills. I can't advise on a kevlar belt.... I've heard about the same good/bad about them. If they do break they are a really big mess and spread potentially harmful very harsh carbon particles all through the tranny case. Sometimes playing with the belt length/brand can make a significant difference. Do you have a carb or F.I.?
Your top speed is 5mph greater than Scoot Magazine observed. More speed and acceleration are definitely easily obtainable with the right combo of tranny parts

Thanks stepthrutuner and Brent. I think trans tuning is where i want to start. Don't want to make the motor temperamental.
The caution about the kevlar belt makes sense. Probably just a better brand is enough. I need to remember this motor is working about half as hard as my 2T BBK had to. And i'm taking a very generous approach to oil changes and valve checks etc.
Of course we know i love some "sticky skins" so that will probably be my first upgrade. Hoping i can go up from 130s on the back to 150s. Looks like i have enough room. There were a few hard corners yesterday where i was puching my luck on cheep rubber. ;D
