(also hoping to score a spare scoot, figure this will take a day or so.) i am just trying to be prepared all the way around i guess... if i tear it down and nobody to walk me thru it, i may mess myself up.. .. thanks to you and 2strokd i was able to port oem cyl, sitting in my kitchen. ;D ...... i would love to be able to learn the degree wheel and get some measurements while its apart.. then maybe i could learn where i need to go from there.................. why was my pic bigger than yours, if correct size....kindof :stumped: :banghead: ?

When I upload pics, I set them to 640x480. In the tutorial, I show 800x600 which is the max allowable size here.

good afternoon guys. went to my 1st country concert last night. dude named colt ford.. does a country rap... pretty cool shit...mudbogging is a cool ass song... anyway, my carb kit came in the mail yesterday... wow, ALOT different than the oem carb...the throttle cable that came with it. my throttle cable splits off in 2 pieces..(1 for the oil pump, 1 for the carb).. this new one, does it hook into the split or the throttle body.. i guess :stumped: its a "flat-side" i think. even the valve is odd shaped. oko brand does anybody know about a oko 24mm carb? (107m..45p)...... :stars:

so i guess noone knows the oko carbs.... :jaw: .... but i did have a blonde moment... there IS NO oil tube on this oko carb.. that means i have to run run straight mix, correct....w.t.h. will i need to remove the oil pump or just unhook the cable? now that seems like its gonna be a pain for myself.. i always just stop and fill up.. what if im in the middle of nowhere and gonna gas up but i dont have my premix.. that'll suck i think........ tried to get pipe ordered, but they out of the chrome at lv... i'd rather have the chrome cause i dont want to have to paint the thing every week to keep it sharp. gonna see how long of a wait for a chrome before i get the natural

actually there is one port there but i thought it was for the vaccum from the petcock.. how would that work? oil going into the manifold instead of the carb?? now it goes directly in to the side of the oem carb.

The port probably is for the petcock. It would work the basically the same way on the intake as it would in the carb.

good evening guys... i'm sitting here in front of my engine.. just wanted to play with a degree wheel a bit before i split the cases.. when you put a "piston stop" on the cylinder, is that REALLY tdc?.... the reason i ask is on my oem cyl/piston, the arch shape crown on the piston actually stops it short from FULLY reaching the top of the barrel.... would'nt THAT be tdc, (the piston being to the TOP of the barrel, not "just shy")??....... figured id try and measure the oem timings and learn a bit there...if i can   .....oh yeah, whats a good way to really CLEAN the cases?... heard a dishwasher but i dont have one of those.. ... well guys i do hope somebody is ready for a BUNCH of ? here cause i am hitting unchartered territory now with the degree wheel.. :paranoid:
