For fun, I thought I'd try to use my phone in my front pocket of my shirt to video a really short ride. Did this as a test, but afterwards, realized I'm going to go ahead and boot for a gopro or similar..
I'm running with everything in my signature but in case you have signatures turned off, here's my specs..
2007 Chinese GY6 139QMB 50cc (Bumblebee)
- 100cc Big Bore Kit
- Big Valve Head (23mm & 20mm Valves)
- A9 Performance Cam
- Performance Racing CDI (Blue)
- 18mm Kei-Hin Carb
- #90 Main Jet
- K&N Style POD Air Filter
- Gates Powerlink Belt
- DLH Performance Variator
- 8 Gram Sliders
- 1K Hoca Contra Spring
Takes a few tries to get it started since I have a big valve head which brings my compression down to around 90-100... I've also got a panel that seems to vibrate and make a little noise at certain rpms. Still haven't been able to trace it down yet..

The sound of your engine... Thanks Kat! What's funny is it's just the stock exhaust with no mods. I was actually going to buy a performance exhaust but most everyone said that it really wouldn't make much of a difference in performance, so I kept the original on. I kinda like the sound too!

Thanks Colddog! I'm gonna hate when winter rolls around and I can't ride it anymore till the spring, but I guess that gives me some time to do some more mods to it!

That is a really nice looking scoot there. I too like the sound. It appears to run very well. The video was fine. I need to make one of mine one of these days.

That sounds kind of like mine. I think what you are mostly hearing is the intake not the exhaust. Cone filters and a larger diameter intake tube tend to give them that deeper gurgely sound. If a car pulls up next to me on my air filter side the scooter gets twice as loud from the sound reflecting off the side of the car lol.
I like those mirrors and that look. Love the transformers stickers lol. You need a raspy aftermarket exhaust so it sounds like it looks. Pissed of bumble bee hehe.

The sound is actually more the exhaust. The intake adds to it though. I got those mirrors off ebay. I really like them, but wish they were a little bigger, but they work fine. I think they were around $15 for the set.. Eventually I'm going to get an MP3 trigger installed with some buttons and a speaker so I can push a button and make the transforming sound. I figure the kids would get a kick out if it..

You know what I wanted to get for mine. They make these things that plug into the lighter outlet and transmit sound to a FM receiver and you can get them in various engine sounds. The speaker would have to be pretty loud though I think.
What I REALLY need is a beeper hooked up to my turn signal switch because I am always driving around with a signal on after I turn lol.

There is a flasher relay that actually dings or clicks. I need to get one too! I still haven't yet.

Get one from a Zuma and hook it up. They click very loudly.
