Big oil line from the oil tank goes to the big barb fitting on the pump, small line from the pump goes to the small barb fitting in the side of the carb, oil pump cable(splitter in throttle cable)hooks to pump, adjust for max throttle/max pump travel,,Hope this helps!

There's a bleeder screw on the pump to open up to get the oil from the tank to the pump (I can never seem to get to it unless I take both cooling shrouds off). Once it drips out from there, tighten the bleeder screw and the pump should push the oil up to the carb through the small line like 190mech mentioned. Whenever I'm priming an oil pump I usually put pre-mix in the gas tank and use vice grips or a clamp or something to open the pump full as if WOT and let the scoot idle. I take the hose off the barb at the carb and watch the small oil line until I'm satisfied that the pump is adequately pumping oil- sometimes I'll even put the shrouds in place and just go for a ride with the pre-mix in the tank. The oil line might be dripping a little oil since I'm riding around with it disconnected from the carb but at least I know it's pumping! Then and only then I push it onto the barb and run non-mixed fuel. Voila! Once you get the hang of it, it's really only a 10-15 minute process...

Man this cold is killing me. I cant finish up the paint on this thing. The cold makes the paint all foggy. Im gonna do a 2 tone blue and grey on it. I think there is to much blue for one scoot, and I think its going to look pretty sweet when done. If you have an ollies bargain discount store by you and you havent been there yet then you should go. They have good tools for cheap. (husky) and spray paint cheap as hell. $1.59 a can of duplicolor. Autozone sells it for almost 8 bucks.

Ok, got it running good enough to ride. But wants to bog out when any throttle is applied. I believe I fixed the air leak, not doing the high idle thing, so I would believe I'm running rich right? But when I turn the idel mixture screw almost all the way in still wants to bog. The air mixture screw is in about 1/4 of the way. Do I need a new smaller jet? Or am I missing something besides my brain?

Bog is lean, sputter is rich,,turning the idle mixture screw out leans it,,idle mixture screw is for idle only, when you add throttle then you are getting into the needle/needle jet till 3/4 then the main jet..I'd try raising the needle(lowering the clip)a notch or 2 and see what happens..If you dont have the stock airbox youre gonna have to spend a lot of time jetting it,,need the stock airbox then its waaay easier!!

(WOT) WIDE OPEN THROTTLE -The [main jet] and [wot needle diameter] and the [filter restriction] TOGETHER tunes ALL RPMS at wot.
PART THROTTLE -The needle TAPER HEIGHT tunes the exhaust at part throttle.
MIDRANGE THROTTLE -The variator roller weight tunes the needle angle for FINE TUNING the midrange.
IDLE SPEED-The needle NOTCH height often needs to be in a certain range to get a good idle.
any other questions?

the cvt tunes the needle angle. any other questions just ask. Please explain

the variator weights etc are able to bog the engine or make it free revving. this effects the needle angle. tune the weights to better suit the needle angle.

Give me an example. I don't want to put words in your mouth, so I'd like to hear from you. Thanks
