(didn't really know if I should put this on the "Off-Topic" or here...)
Was wonderin' where yous youts ride on the road, when yous drive your scoots??
Do yous youts drive your scoots like a car, or do you ride them like a bicycle?? Meaning only stay on the right side of the road (unless you need to turn left, of course)? And more importantly, do yous youts drive straight to the front when there's a red light (or stop sign) using the right most lane (bordering shoulders)?
I'm kinda curious because I don't drive me scooter like I drive me motorcycle. I think it brings oot more of the hooligan-ism in me when I'm on me scoot! Strange, huh. I'm guessing that because I (or us) feel less "spacious"... or more "stealthy", that I could get away with more traffic "iffies" that I wouldn't do as much as riding a motorcycle (and physically impossible on a car)...
Thoughts??

hmmm say... on my first day riding it, I was kinda wanting to ride it like I do to my bicycle. so I was always on the right side, always made signal to cars advance first when behind me (because on my slow took offs because i'm a bit "scared" yet), and so on. But today was my second day after not riding it for 5 days and rode a bit more like a car. so, in the center of my lane way, faster. on stop lights and roudabouts I still extra careful. Btw, sexy red ducati

^^ So, how aboots at red lights and stop signs (do they even have stop signs in Portugal? I'm guessing all roond-aboots??)? Do you creep to the front like a master ninja? or just stay in your position, smelling all the fumes?? heh

Both of my scooters get very little use at the moment. The TaoTao is brand new and my daughter is still learning, so I am letting her ride it out at the race track/event center and I'm giving it a VERY VERY slow break in. I ride along side of her on my Spree. So both see very little actual road time and more track time then anything. That will change after she gets her permit. Her TaoTao will be her daily get around scooter, and the Spree is going into the garage to be dismantled, restored, and repainted. I prefer driving either my car, or my Indian Scout.

We habe both red lights and stop signals. Obviously I creep to the front What's the point in having a scooter, bicycle or motorbike if we don't creep to the front? I still not well trained on the takeoffs, but once I am, I shall be the first taking off. pretty much like I do in a car... or bicycle. Boy oh boy, 15 years ago when I was in top shape my bicycle takeoffs were crazy... when they saw it was green, I was already 20 meters away sprinting.

haha, yeah! Well, I never creep to the front on me motorcycle. I ride her like a fast car... And we can't lane-split here in Nevada. In California you can!
Hahaha, yeah I used to do that on my road bicycle! I always win the race to the opposite side of the road against stupid cars! heh

If I'm with my buddy then we're always racing and act the fools even being stupid and lane splitting because I love passing cars on a scoot. Somehow it's exhilarating on a scooter because scooters don't usually pass cars. When I'm alone (not very often) I ride "normal".

Here in Ontario we are taught to drive it like a motorcycle. Stay in either the right or left lanes in the blocking position. Which are the drivers tyre track in the right lane and passenger tyre track in the left lane. Same on two lane roads stay in the drivers side tyre track but move over to the edge of the road and slow a bit to let a faster vehicle pass whether it be car, truck or motorcycle.

Usually like an asshole, lol. I do follow traffic laws and such, except when occasionally i take advantage of the bike lanes to pass lines of cars.
