So I am really starting to tune my CVT now and one thing bothers me more than even my stock variator. The 669-18-30 belt does not go to the top of the variator or the drive pulley. I thought about the length and the number 680 came to mind. not a huge difference mind you but then a big variance probably would not work at all. So I googled my new imaginatory size and I found this. www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Quality-Motorcycle-drive-belts-680-18-30-B/2010596573.html?spm=2114.13010208.99999999.261.KzuzUxHas anyone here tried this belt? I have it on order just because I must experiment with it myself. I will give an update when I see how it goes.

Your link goes to Ali's home page for me, but I think this is it : www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Quality-Motorcycle-drive-belts-680-18-30-B/2010596573.htmlThe size sounds like it may be good, but I don't trust cheap belts at all. I mean not one bit. I had bad experiences with them and breaking them on the first ride over and over and I just won't mess with them anymore. I hope this works out better for you than any cheap belt I've ever tried. If not, try searching for close numbers like 679, 681, etc... and see if anything comes up from Bando, Gates, Malossi, Polini, etc...

These two links seem to go to the same page. Ali's home page.

Strange. Mine worked for me when I checked after posting. It will come up easily if you google that belt size though, or go to aliexpress and paste this into the search bar : 2010596573

I bought 2 of them, one has NO NAME on it at all and the other is Mitsubashi which I think they use to try to fool us. I only paid like $12-$15 each for them. I only run this as it is what was on my scoot when I got it...belt goes all the way up on both ends but I really wish I could find a close size that has a brand name making it or even Kevlar. I could find none in my size and I have searched a lot.

I don't really know much about them, but they are stock on some scoots. My Keeway Venus had a Mitsuboshi belt and it was alright. I'd try those vs the no-name Chinese stuff.

Yes, you are correct, Mitsuboshi. I think they are trying to make us think of a Japanese company here, ha ha. That is the one I have been using but just swapped out to my new back-up to see if it helped my problem...it didn't. Good to know they are of better quality. So, far, that's the best one I can find in my size.
You know, you really must have to be proud of your product to market it with no name or part number stamped on it, ha ha. All it had was a wire tag attached to it with the size. Maybe I will get another Mitsuboshi for a spare.

They have been around for a very long time and, I can't really tell but it looks like it might be a Japanese company. Thanks for this info.

I went to ebay and found the mituboshi belt there. Good price and I think it may be trustworthy for at least a trial.

I checked a few minutes ago and found an ebay guy selling one for like $38 plus $8 shipping and he claims it is a Kevlar belt. There is a photo but I can not view photos at work. I will check it when I get home but...I doubt it is really Kevlar in my size. My bet is that is the standard Mitsuboshi belt like I already have that costs $12.00. We will see.

So I got the Mitsuboshi belt today, yeah crazy fast shipping. I have to say the performance of it was so good that I highly doubt that I will ever run a 669 again, barring that it snaps next week mind you. I found take off vastly improved and possibly even more top end. IDK about that for sure (no speedo just a butt dyno) I've only had it on for testing so far about 4 miles of it, but so far so good.

I would be very interested to see Brent put one on his TT with a before and after 0-30 time maybe a top speed also. I'm just not big on all the scientific method, and anyway hard to even try with no speedo.

I use my phone with gps mph on it and i use a screen recorder then open my camera app. The screen recorder will record everything the camera sees, and there will be a mph box in corner to show how fast your going. And is saved not on your phone so it won't take up space.
