Oh, it is a Polini carb.
I take it back, although they are PWK rebuilds, I am sure Polini knows their shit.
A lot of issues come fromt he Stator and the magnets obn the flywheel. Easy to check. Same for the ignition point. The cables coming out of the case into the junction box tend to scratch off their shrink wrap.
What else? Lights'n stuff? Electrical problems there? Yeah get used to it. Changing the indicator glass today, the glass, made my left side fully functional for whatever reason. And my right one dysfunctional

Changing the indicator glass today, the glass, made my left side fully functional for whatever reason. And my right one dysfunctional Yep I've been through this baby front to back. I don't think there's a wire/screw/nut/seal/bearing I haven't touched. I have a new green kill wire strung through the frame but haven't bothered to connect it yet until I get things straightened out again. I originally rewired my stock stator (the expensive red + yellow wire one) with a wiring kit from ScooterWest and then replaced the pickup coil. Then sent 12v backwards through the purple wire, then bought an entirely new stator etc. etc. I've evn built a CDI for it out of a Minarelli one with GY6 coil (worked great btw) and now using a stock replacement CDI. I was having weird timing issues in the beginning and a new battery solved that (which blew my mind) and then holed the Polini piston with too much advance and too little main jet on top of leaning out at WOT due to my carb being higher than the fuel petcock now and super high compression with the modified stock head blah blah blah... case splitting rebuild three times now... broke a new Grand Sport piston at a high idle... what else? Haha the list is endless and it's all in my build thread. I envisioned I'd have it repainted and new suspension and maybe even front disk like yours by now but I've really slowed down on it lately due to all the setbacks. I've had a T5 horncover here for it ever since my first order from S.I.P. and finally installed it this weekend. Still not sure how I feel about it. I'll leave it on for a bit and see if it grows on me...

Quick small update Done, for now Although I have a 16mm Radial master cylinder on the way... Lookin good DRC! Hey I've an extra oil sightglass if you want it- can have for the cost of shipping. I got my ignition figured out now btw. I had to re-lap the flywheel onto the crank as when I sheared 2 flywheel keys after the rebuild it did more damage than I thought. Now the flywheel is properly aligned and sparking like it should. Keep the updates coming!

But I am switching to a PHBH 28 carb when going long stroke Malossi this Winter, so this would have happened anyway. I have the 13mm BGM radial pump at my buddy's house with an adapter so I can go full hydraulic, which means more sexy brake updates soon after I move.

That's the same intake I'm using. My Polini 28 PWK barely fits as it seems just a hair too tall and fits tightly against the cylinder shroud. I also ordered the ScootRS intake that lets the carb sit a little more level/horizontal but again this PWK is just a bit too tall...

Alright, what a Saturday! We hit Columbus and the Cutters SC' annual rally SCOOT-A-QUE. Left at 7.00 AM and dialed in over 250miles in 24 hours. Great rally, some minor road side fixes. Love this bike a little more every day.

So my buddy juergen from ol' Germany wanted absolutely to ride while he was here, as he has never ridden in the States. So we hit up Cincy today, with a nice little pub crawl, a GTS250, a Rally200 and my P200 Bunch of bars and breweries on our trip. Great fun. A fucked shifting cross on the Rally, a blown fuse and a little softseize on mine (or just fuel starvation, hard to tell) Vespas...
