Hey, Because I love this forum so much, why not show you what is in the works here. I got a really nice and clean P200 from 1978 with a mere 1600miles on it. Engine seems untouched and most bolts feel virgin, as well as the overall look, add to support that it is only 1600 Here a few pics, I posted these before. So I took it out on two rides so far, and aside from the 2nd and 3rd gear being a clusterfuck, it is great. A mix of a bad clutch led the pre-owner to mess up the gear box. Ofc ourse me being me, I cannot just have a vintage scooter. I like to have a high-tech vintage scooter. So, I passed "the order" Planned are: Engine: - New 2nd and 3rd gear - Oil seals replaced - 5 disk, stiff springed Newfren "carbon" clutch - New cruciform - SIP Road 2.0, because that exhaust is the shizz, nice torque and sweeeet sound, insane power gain on my wife's Stella and nowhere close in competition to any other box exhaust I rode so far. - Proper carb setup Frame: - SIP 2.0 RACE Suspension, fully adjustable, the real deal. Because why not track days on a Vespa - Front brake disc conversion, semi hydraulic. I do not want to mess with the headset quite yet, so I am staying with the cable first. - SIP Tubeless wheels Aesthetic: - Yellow head light, because I am me. Also, the headlight now is one giant bulb from GE, like... the light is a bulb. I broke it, it sucks - some general plastic repairs, nothing major. - SIP Carbon fiber Sport Seat AND a proper 2 person seat, rack and backrest. - 174 and Piaggio Skull logo, just like on my wife's Stella. I dont roll without 174 - fix the Vespa badge. - FCK that windshield. - build a GPS/phone mount - Clamp on side mirrors 90lbs worth of Vespa parts for me and friends are on their way, next weekend will be exciting.

Sweet! Sounds like it's gonna be a blast! I've read that the semi hydraulic front conversion works just fine. Probably be some poo-pooers that say full hydraulic is the only way to go but if you stop you stop!
I have that same clutch setup and it has never given me issues. The springs are a tad stiff and makes the left forearm a little sore in the city but hey wheelies all day long!
Followed. Subscribed. Watching.

So we rode in Cincinnati's Northside Parade yesterday, me and wife side by side with some other folks from our riding group. Doing some stupid stuff, popping wheelies, cheering for the crowd, all in all very fun. Thank god it was slow. Thank god it was slow. Right now I really can only use 1. And 4. Gear. After the parade I am sure the remaknder of my clutch is gone too.
On the way back my idle jet clogged up and my back hurts from the middle bar inside my seat.
All in all, I love my Vespa. Time to tear it apart
Also it is kind of special seeing your wife attempting wheelies in a parade when she has been riding for only 2.5 months now

Oh, I also have the famous US style BBQ rack. It came with the bike without a back rest, so I just got my hands on a rare sliding, adjustable backrest, with a nice Vespa sign and a zipper Some leather restoration and a bit of polishing will do good. Probably putting it on tomorrow with the rack. Picture from yesterday's parade, this was the warmup run. Me

And the post from earlier: New/old backrest for my BBQ rack: As it turns out, the tires on it were from 1988 Let that sink in. That's how much it was driven... Here are the 4th of July Parade pics:

Alright, long day today.
Dropped the engine, split the engine, fixed the gear box, rebuilt the clutch, put it back together, hung it back in, mounted rear shock and dropped off my hub to the powder coater

Why do a lot of vespa owners love those sip 2.0 exhaust's? Are they designed that good that performance is great??

What is the tail pipe diameter on the Sip exhaust? It looks super small for 200cc!

The Sip 2.0 is like the pinnacle pg boxed exhaust design. I am a big two stroker as you all know and I do know my pipes very well. I rode several expansion pipes nd they are all just too peaky or top crappy. These boxes give nice torque and the 2.0 feels lile half a expansion chamber. It really fills the gap that exists between 3. and 4. gear

Banging out updates like there is no tomorrow. Spend all morning hooking up the disc brake, with no instructions, but it was pretty straight forward. Needs to be ridden, build some pressure and adjusted. Rear hub back from powder coating, nicely fits the front now Current state, off the bench. Can't find neutral. Worst case i fucked up the gears in the gear box. Best case I simply messed up the cables in the selector box. Let's hope for the latter, did not have time to check.
