Is the bolt damaged/stripped? Threads in the new lever look OK?

Has anybody used jbweld ok kick lever b4? It is not strong enough for the pressure that will be put on it when kicking. That's a lot of leverage (force multiplication) there. Bill

UsuAlly i stick a flat head in to open it a bit as i push ot on. Once it is on take out flat head make sure kicker holes line up of not get some big pump pliers give a squish as yoi try to get the screw in straight. Jb weld gonna leave you stuck somewhere!

I guess I need to be the guy that reminds the OP of the kickstart is only for emergencies or the cvt cover will break.

I guess I need to be the guy that reminds the OP of the kickstart is only for emergencies or the cvt cover will break. I use my kick start about 90% of the time to start my scoot. (I am trying to preserve my battery as long as possible, ha ha) So far, for 2 years, so good. I think if the kick lever is adjusted properly...in the correct position, and you don't stomp on it when it is at the bottom of the swing, it will be fine. Just my opinion based on my own experience. Bill PS Keeping your scoot in good tune with properly adjusted valves, good plug, etc. makes a big difference. I have seen folks kicking their scoots like 15 times each time they start it...I can usually get away with a single kick...sometimes two.

However my push starter is so unreliable. I have to keep it on trickle charge wen I park it and I pray it works when o try to crank it I have to hold it down for bout 5 secs about 5 times till it starts. I have a 12 bolt battery.

I have used my kicker for 2 years. When you use the mhr overrange cvt you have to remove the starter clutch off the crank actually the boss it rides on. I have yet to break my cvt cover. Starts first kick when i pull choke, i dont even have a battery!

Same here. No e-start due to upgraded CVT components. If it doesn't start on first kick I wonder what's up!
