Last week we had frost on the cars, this week its been raining. Connecticut here. I have the gas drained and batteries pulled in all but one scooter. I actually just put some gas in today so I could post in the burn out thread. LOL Actually I needed to verify if i fixed the iggy switch. It would run with the key off. I did ride a few time each month last year in Dec, Jan, Feb & March, we had warm spells every month(global warming... LOL) They were all short rides.

All scoots are winterized and stored except the Spree. I'm doing heat cycles on it still. Running it with my winter mix of 1/2 91 premium 1/2 VP110. Waiting on new (rebuilt) clutch to get here so I can change out the springs for Leo Vince springs, rebuilt starter, Motoforce 245mm ST1 shock, then 1 more dyno run, a ride home, then to storage. I'll keep riding it in the mid 30's outside or higher. It gets colder then that, or snow on the ground, I won't use it. Using Cortech DX-2 gloves. Not too bad so far riding with them. Wanted to find time to do a 40mph+ run for the scoot speed list, but looks like I'll probably have to save it till spring.

I had BILT insulated waterproof gloves with freezeout glove liners didn't really do much but didn't get frostbite lol. heated glove liners and heated grips help but windshield that shields grips is best protection from wind. Laso putting a rubber or latex layer in helps like wearing full rubber gloves over your riding gloves provides a wind barrier just don't put the layer next to skin its useless then as it gets cold from wind.

Too cold to ride? Lmao 😂 as far as gloves I use insulated Harley davidson gloves... Insulated leather moto coat... Roads clear I ride, temp just determines gear not ride! 😂
Should add I also have a full Moto suit rated to keep warm to -30 @ 60mph... 😁

C'mon guys! I've ridden when it was in the mid 20's out and getting colder as the sun went down. Just wear the right gear. Nothing special. A layer or two of thermal underwear, jeans with a wind proof lightweight pair of outerpants over the jeans, a couple layers of upper thermies, a sweater over that, a GOOD winter riding jacket over that, some good gloves, a head sock under your helmet and you're as comfy as can be

I am lucky I live in the south. I plan on riding for fun most of winter break. We're in the upper 50's this week.
