I think Ryan-ott's compression and leak test advice is absolutely the way to start. You mentioned you cleaned out your exhaust, and said a baffle is bouncing around in it. Was that baffle loose before you cleaned it? Did you try starting the scoot with the exhaust disconnected? Just thinking that loose baffle could potentially acts as a valve or restricion if it were to fall against an inlet in the exhaust. Like when you hit a bump and it stalled out, it could have been that baffle moving and choking the scoot. this has happened a lot, there are a lot of posts about this all over the net

Stance, sounds like you,ve finally nailed the problem,it needs a new muffler, these engines won,t run right until all the components are in tune.I,d go back to page 1 and start again. fit the new muffler reset the carb refit the air box fit the fuel pipe check every thing again start it with the kickstart daa daa (I hope) let us know geoff

Did it idle real low with no exhaust? When my exhaust was clogged up the idle went much higher when the exhaust was off, with no touching the carb.

I think i had it set to a normal idle at that time i believe and it did.idle fine. Even put the tailpipe /muffler.back on and it ran. But then came back out and.no go so started messing with idle and thats where im at now. Anyway to find.my exhaust/ just muffler? Or whole pipe i can only find 4t and racing exhausts

From the engine block or head whatever you wanna call it is 2 bolts. But where the muffler or silencer is its a 3 bolt triangle flange.

I can't say there are no different flanges (header to muffler), but the triangular 3 bolt flanges that I've had on GY6 and Chinarelli exhausts have bolted right up to each other. You can always compare measurements with sellers.

Does it matter if it says gy6? I have the 1e39qmb engine.

The link looks like pretty much what I was pointing out. I thought you had the 1E40QMB two-stroke, but regardless it should work if it's the triangular flange.

As said earlier, I've only seen 1 bolt pattern in those triangular flange mufflers for 50-150cc Chinese scoots. Prob a money saving exercise for the factories. Won't attempt to guarantee you anything fits for sure, but I'd think it would.

What is the difference between gy6 and 140qmb?
