Cast sport kits last a while with little problems. I had a polini cast i used as a commuter. I would hold the trottle wide open for like 10 minutes haha. Ran good.
I think an aluminum bore that's tuned right (maybe slightly rich for longevity) should last a long time if it's treated right, but i bet it's hard to baby a motor that only makes power between 10k-13.5k rpm. I have a race pipe and racing clutch springs on my zuma and parking lot riding is a little difficult haha. On-n-off power.

That overrange is a good piece. And pigs got a couple of fast bikes so I'd take his advice on it haha.

In my opinion yes. Having bits and pieces of the package is ok, but you said your budget was unlimited so buy the complete package and enjoy.

I included that in my original post, it’s the last link. As for the overrange, yes you have to grind or file off a little of the cases to make it work. But that’s part of making these things fast. Some of that stuff you have to do, no other choice if you wanna go fast.

How did I miss this thread? I agree with pig. That combo would work out nice. Gears, over range, c16,clutch and carb. There is another cylinder in that range I would consider. Same pipe carb etc. Athena makes an 80cc kit that is in that power range. 47.6 bore with a 43 stroke. Parts bolt in no machine work to get the crank to fit. Available in air or liquid cooled. The 80 kit should make about the same power but should have a little more torque. Since you are buying a crank anyway the extra cc couldn't hurt.

I think I'll stick with the 70cc due to me not actually having an unlimited budget as I only need top speed improvements I don't need to be spending 250 more for some torque, as it already is a bit expensive.

The reason I suggested it was you are buying a cylinder and crank anyway and the 80 kit can be had for the same price plus it is a bolt in (no machine work needed)and is in the same class and brand as the cylinder pig recommended. Either way it should be a nice ride

I went as far as a stage 6 racing cylinder, C16 exhaust, big carb and all the other associated bits. Although it was great, made loads of power i would not of used it as a daily ride. It would pretty much wheelie off the throttle, and do 60+ mph. Was just a bit too much for town riding. Great fun, but you had to be in the right mood to enjoy it. Some of the parts like the crank, reeds, clutch i had already upgraded before the build. Still was not cheap though. The list that PIG posted looks a good place to start.
