Yeah I'm just fine with a stock exhaust. Just cant seem to track one down thats like mine and 2t. Do you still have the exhaust? Maybe on my way down to h2oi this year i can stop by and pic it up.

I had a Silvertone (stock Vento Triton 2T... comparable model) silencer here that we talked about long ago, but you didn't want to pay for shipping. I don't blame you, it's more than the thing is worth. Then you wanted to come get it. Then you asked if I could meet you and I said I'd meet you in Kent Island, near the Bay Bridge. Then you said you wanted me to go farther and I didn't really want to. You bought a 4T silencer later. I actually said the 4T silencer would prob be fine, because I had used a 4T muffler on a 2T header and it was fine for me. I would suggest staying away from anything aftermarket. Up to this point I think it has been suggested at least 15 times (with links to how to) to check out the CVT and that hasn't gone anywhere. If you don't want to mess with the CVT or really tune the carb, then aftermarket parts are just a bad idea IMO. Yes i have seen your cvt videos and it looks pretty simple but would rather not dig into yet another project just quite yet. So with my exhaust being what seems to be the culprit in this problem then i wanna move towards a new and or close to used 2t exhaust.

I've still got the stock silencer. H20i is prob September or October though. I can prob get some shipping quotes to see if anything is reasonable. I don't care about selling it, but you would have to pay shipping.

Yes. As said on the last page, it's from my stock Vento Triton 2T. Not mine, but identical to what it came from :

ok so exhuast issue aside....since i put the stock muffler back on and are back to normal speeds, i have kind of always had this issue/ gremlin. so when im cruising wide open or maybe a little over half throttle. when i back off or let off for a a few seconds to coast then get back on the throttle the bike kind of lags or its almost like it gurgles or boggs for a sec then gets back to normal power. almost feels like an anti lag/ launch control type feeling. like its statying at the same rpm but no power. if any of that makes any sense to you guys let me know what i could try.. the bike has kind of always done this so i dont know if its related to all the new stuff..

The lag is likely due to the CVT needing service and cleaning - a fresh belt, rollers, rear main spring, clean and re grease the TD would do wonders if you’ve never been in there for service. Mainly I’d replace the rear spring and service the TD. Springs get soft over time and the grease gets thick and sticky from heat which causes poor shifting of the pulley.

it doesnt feel or seem like cvt. its the engine. cuz it revs funny and kind of backfire-ishes but doesn't pop or anything. i was just riding my buddies dirtbike yesterday and when you tried to give it full throttle and not roll into it it would completely bogg and die out. my symptoms are similar but it doesnt die out. it just kind of revs funny like its garbling then back to full throttle. at high speeds. not down low or just kinda cruising 20 to 25

Could it be from a bad air fuel mix?

Could it be from a bad air fuel mix? you gotta retune the carb for that pipe you have on it now. probably some needle adjustment.

you gotta retune the carb for that pipe you have on it now. probably some needle adjustment. What needle? the needle on the slide valve of the carb. you might need to change the clip position. most needles have 5 grooves and most of the time, the clip is in the middle groove/position. lots of info on it in the FAQ frequently asked questions section for carbs and tuning.
