I recently ordered a 50mm bbk but when I started installing I realized the wrist pin that came with the kit is quite a bit bigger than what the Scoot came with from factory the scoot is a taotao gt5 50cc

Can it slide in your piston?

I recently ordered a 50mm bbk but when I started installing I realized the wrist pin that came with the kit is quite a bit bigger than what the Scoot came with from factory the scoot is a taotao gt5 50cc I had the exact thing happen to me. I tried installing it on Sunday and discovered that same problem. There is no way the wrist pin that fit the piston he sent could fit through the connecting rod. Look, on the left the wrist pin that came and fit the piston in the BBK. On the right, the original wrist pin. Way off. The seller is sending out replacement parts. Where did you order yours from. 2014 ATM1 50cc TaoTao

I updated my reply with a photo.
I didn't have anything to measure either pin.
The seller said that indeed there was something wrong with his inventory and the piston / wrist pin he sent was incorrect. He said the original wrist pin should be 13mm. But I can not say if that is accurate.
EDIT:
The wrist pin that comes with the kit should have been the same diameter of your original wrist pin. That is what you want from the seller. A replacement wrist pin (correct diameter) as well as a replacement piston that accepts that replacement wrist pin. He should also include another cylinder head from the same stock as the replacement piston/wrist pin. I mean, the replacement wrist pin he sends has to be the same diameter as your original and fit the replacement piston right?
You don't want it any bigger cause well, it won't fit, and you don't want it any smaller cause it will slap around or something. So measure the diameter of your original to see.

The wrist pin that came in the kit fits the new piston it does not fit the rod so I need a new 50mm piston and 13mm wrist pin for the kit to work

I wouldn't use that kit. That is a piston for a dirtbike, yeah it fits that cylinder but you will more than likely get valve contact... if your wrist pin fit. My best guess is that piston and wrist pin are for a 110cc pit bike/dirtbike.
You should have valve reliefs cut out on your piston...
I'm surprised to see they measure everything but the wrist pin, and also they claim the piston is 42mm wide and the cylinder bore is 50mm. I'd say there's a reason that entire kit is less than 100USD.
