Thank you for the reply! Yeah I'm not sure between the two either, it bogs when I open up the throttle from around 3/4 to full but I'm not sure if it's a rich or lean bog. I was hoping the plug would point me in the direction of either rich or lean bog but it seems not!

Just been out for a ride on the scoot on a rainy English day and noticed it doesn't seem to be popping or tinging on deceleration? Has anyone got any ideas as what to be causing it or is this nothing to worry about?

Sometimes the easiest way to tell if you aren't sure is to cover a small portion of the airbox inlet with electrical tape. That will richen it up. If it gets better, you need more fuel. If it gets worse, you have too much fuel.

Sorry to bug you again gt but do you recommend covering the snorkel on the airbox or the airbox side of the carb? Also how much of the intake do you recommend covering it by? Thank you.

Easy access, but more importantly you won't be sucking anything into the engine if it breaks loose. Small increments. Big changes may swing it so far the other way that you don't know where you're at. Definitely don't go covering most of it to start. 1/4 maybe?

I'll try it at the weekend when I have time and will probably come crying back to this thread yet again begging for advise but oh well, it's getting there.

Yes it says in my manual to use a BPR7HS but I'm not really familiar on the numbering system used in spark plugs. What's the difference between a plug numbered 7 and one numbered 8? Thank you.

the number is the heat range the plug operates best at,but thats all I know.I also spotted your air filter snorkel in another thread it,s much larger than a Yamaha one I.ll put a picture up tommorow,Try blocking the snorkel off a little with duct tape an see what it does(I,m also in the UK Wigan "gods pie shop")

Yes I think my airbox must have rediculously high air flow or something for a stock box because I seem to need massively larger jets than anyone else on a stock airbox just to get it even running. Thank you, it would be interesting to compare just how large it is compared to the yam one. I think until my jet comes I'm going to do exactly that and cover part of my snorkel just to make sure I'm not lean. Got to love the UK huh, weathers been interesting this week...
