I am stuck on this. 3.6 fluid oz 2 stroke oil goes into one gal. for my scoot.
How do I do the math of breaking 3.6oz down to fit say like if I put .6gal of gas in the tank? Same goes for breaking down 3.6oz for go into 1.3gal?

My math challenged brain says: 3.6 x .6 = 2.16 3.6 x 1.3 = 4.68

Use the calculator tab on the left of the screen and you can fill in the variables, gallons and desired mix ratio.

Use the calculator tab on the left of the screen and you can fill in the variables, gallons and desired mix ratio. Unfortunately the calc wants gal and ratio which don't help. Thanks though.

The multiplication that FrankenMech gave as an example will work perfect and that saves me from buying a gas can. You saved me $27+shipping.

I made up a little chart and printed it on sticker paper and then stuck it under my seat long ago. It has oil required for 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1.0 gallon for the 50:1 mix ratio that I use. Using those, I get close enough with no calculator and some easy adjustments in my head. My accuracy with pouring is prob worse than what I'm off by the calculations and I just err slightly rich since I'm at a lean mix ratio.

Same goes for breaking down 3.6oz for go into 1.3gal? I would do the math as follows, and carry a chart: 5 gal x3.6 oz = 18oz of oil that means 2.5 gal = 9 Oz 1.25 gal = 4.5 Oz 0.625 gal = 2.25 oz 0.322 gal = 1.125 or 1 1/8 oz of 2t oil Adjust the amount of fuel to match an amount of oil that's easy to measure...does this make sense?

The above formula is for 3.6 oz oil per gal fuel. That about a 1:35 mix. I thought most used a 1:50 mix. For a 1:50 mix the chart would be as follows: (1:50 = 2.56 oz per gal. I'm rounding up to 2.6.)
1 gal = 2.6 oz 5 gal = 13 2.5 gal = 6.5 1.25 gal = 3.25 0.625 gal = 1.626 (1 5/8 oz) 0.3125 gal = 0.81 (4/5 Oz)

2strokd told me the scoot takes 3.6oz per gal. I just take 3.6 x what the gas pump says it pumped and mix in that amount. Easier.

Sorry about the mistake. Go ahead with the 50:1 2.6oz mix.

If in doubt, just double the oil for more of that 2-stroke goodness! Just smell the aroma.

Sorry about the mistake. Go ahead with the 50:1 2.6oz mix. Oh shit! Will 3.6 kill it? I will now use 2.6.

3.6oz per gallon is a little shy of 32:1, which is about the richest ratio commonly used. It won't kill it.

I made up these bottles for my daughter to make it easy at the station. She just fills up the tank and sees how much gas she uses, pours in the necessary oil, and gives the scooter a few shakes. 100 ml per gallon is 38:1.
