I would like to install a 90cc engine on my scooter. I had a stage 6 race cylinder on it and the wrist pin clip came out and destroyed it. I also found out the crank has alot of up and down play and it looks like the bearing spun in the case. I figured before rebuilding this motor i would look for a 90cc engine. since i can't find a 90cc jog long case. The only 90cc i see are Polaris Sportsman 90. I read the tech article about the swap but that was a short case. do they make a long case Polaris sportsman 90?

Look for 90cc ATV's with Adly 90's in them. That's where I got my "Longcase" Adly 90 out of a Bombardier DS90. Or you can cut longcase 49cc cases...

What would be a good price for this motor. All i seem to find is cases for sale. will Parts for scooters 90 cc parts work in these cases.

Not sure of the years, but here's a list I put together. I just look at pics when searching. It's pretty obvious what's a Mina and what's a 4T. Unfortunately, this stuff is drying up and getting harder and harder to find.
Stretched Short Case Style Long Case Air Cooled Engines
Adly Moto/Her Chee Scooters : Bullseye 50, Cat 50, Fox 50, GTA 50, GTC/Nifty 50, Jet 50, Noble 50, Panther 50, Thunder Bike 50, Thunder Bike 100, Viva 50
Adly Moto/Her Chee Youth ATVs : ATV 50, ATV 90
Arctic Cat Youth ATVs : DVX 50, DVX 90
Can-AM/Bombardier Youth ATVs : DS 50, DS 90
Lambretta Scooters : Uno 50
Stuff from PFS and other sellers for 90cc Minarelli engines works. Just have to make sure you get the right drive belt, CVT cover, and gearbox parts (short case style).

I seen a Can-am/Bombardier DS50 engine case really cheap

Yep the 90cc cases are really no different than the 49cc ones- just cut larger for the larger crank and cylinder openings. A longcase 90 might be hard to come by. It might seem daunting to cut 49 cases into 90cc but many here have done it with basic tools... Depending on what you're after as a finished project, the 90cc engines may leave you a bit disappointed. They're great for a cheap 60mph daily driver build that'll last forever but 60mph can easily be achieved with 70cc stuff too. Will probably cost more though and will be a much higher revving build that might not be as well suited for a daily driver (although many daily their fast 70cc builds). My buddy bought a Zuma for his son and wanted to make a 60mph+ daily driver for him. I tried to talk him into going the low revving 90cc route but he went 70cc. Spent way more $$ and found out the hard way about mixing high revving performance parts with stock parts such as the crank. In the end he finally got a reliable daily driver out of it but not without a bunch of teardowns and rebuilds. So yeah in certain cases 90cc is great but not neccessarily for everyone. Of course if you're going 90cc+ hyper race then all rules go out the window. a 90cc hyper race beast is pretty much the ultimate scoot engine haha. Just some food for thought...

I found an engine out of a arctic cat youth 90. they say 120 compression. Is that correct for a 90cc two stroke.

Are you sure it's a longcase 90 like an Adly? or just another shortcase 90 like the Polaris sportmans?

Yep looks like the older Artic Cat 90's have the Adly 90 engines in them. Make sure it's an older 2 stroke one and not a later year 4 stroke 90cc....

How much longer is the cylinder head compared to a 70cc kit. my gas tank is in front of the engine.

120psi is on the low side, but could be fine for stock. Compression readings are kind of tough to use for any certainty because of differences in gauges and such. Unless they've scored the cylinder up, it's likely that a piston kit and maybe some changes to the head gasket/squish could get that up.
I think stock cylinders for a 50 are usually around 64-65mm tall and at least the aftermarket stuff is around 77-79mm tall for 90s. That's up to about 15mm or a little over 9/16" in length. Head design varies. Could be close stock. Some aftermarket, like HOCA, have tall heads.
