MaxiScoot is a good site with a large selection but Scootertuning.ca will have a much cheaper shipping rate if your in.the U.S. they have a wide selection too. If you plan on doing a crank also with your scoot, your better off doing EVERYTHING at once that way you won’t have to disassemble AGAIN and buy all NEW gaskets AGAIN. Get a 12mm pin size crank with new seals and crank bearings that have the corresponding size to the crank you buy. Get a new “needle bearing” to go with the kits pin as streetrace kit does not come with one. I understand this can be all budget related and you may need your scoot on the road ASAP for work etc. but it will benefit in the long run. Depending on what clutch you buy, they usually come with a kit of clutch springs, same goes with the variator, it will usually come with ONE “torque driver” spring, and only one set of “permanent” rollers. Depending on what variator you choose make sure to buy the corresponding size tuning weights I.e 15x12,13x16 etc. Prima makes a good tuning kit. Jets can be found on many numerous sites a good one is Jetsrus.com they have them for the Teikei carbs. I also agree with ryan_ott the Yasuni Z is a lower end pipe and will not get the type of RPMs a streetrace or Mk2 sport/pro will have to offer. A Yasuni R would really be a better pipe for the application. I too was very confused on which pipe met my bores needs when I first came to the site, but many here pointed me in the right direction and even looked up Dyno charts listed on pedparts.co.uk (thanks aeroxbud). Hopefully this will help you save money on unneeded/unnecessary parts.

Alright, I don’t think I’m gonna do the crank then, I’ll just do big bore, exhaust, jets, rollers, springs, bearing. I’m in Canada you think scootertuning.ca still better? Only reason I’m on that site is I don’t think scootertuning has streetrace for minarelli horizontal AC

If parts show out of stock on scootertuning.ca just send them a email. They can get all the same parts as maxiscoot. Plus “49ccscoot” code saves you 5%.

The pro rep has a very narrow powerband. It takes time to get it to work properly, in tune. I’d pass on it.

I've had this pipe, and it's true- you get about 8k to about 9.5k then you lose all power, and it actually stops around 10-11k. I would recommend the technigas nextr over that pipe haha. A yasuni c16 is considered a great pipe, but you might do better with a lower level pipe like the yasuni r or city16

Okay, also I’ve read you need a new clutch for Yasuni R because it doesn’t make any power at low rpm. This true? Would I be better off with Yasuni Z then?

With budget in mind I would just try springs first. You never stated how many miles were on your bike/clutch, it still may be in good shape.

The Yasuni R would work good with a street race. It's very similar to the pro replica, which was designed to work with the street race cylinder. I loved my street race. Probably one of the best cylinders for longevity and performance.
