I got 2008 adly hammerhead two-stroke minerali stretch short case engine with a mineral stock carburetor. I have to have the idle high to be able to take off without bogging out. A good idol you want to throttle it and they'll bog out so that's why I need to leave it on high idle. I got the intake of the breather box duct tape halfway in other words this carburetors gave me a bunch of problems. would you guys suggest buying a after market carburetor?
this mineralli carburetor was set up for an oil pump but the guy loop the oil pump back to itself so it's premix at the gas tank.
I turned to two people in Lafayette Indiana 2strokd and another mechanic in Lafayette Indiana does not want to mess with it so I'm in butt load of trouble with my scooter.
I'm turning you guys what my options are should I buy a new carburetor that will fit the stock engine stock pipe etc.

Have you tried cleaning the carb? Did the scooter run ok before? Or has it always been like this? I don't know why someone would Have the oil pump set up like this. Perhaps you have inherited someone's problems.

You could just pull the oil pump off and cap off the nipple at the carb. Pull your carb apart and give it a good cleaning. The mixture screw passage and pilot jet are what get gummed up the easiest. Also check for a cracked intake while your at it.

Perhaps you have inherited someone's problems. I have not yet cleaned it. It did not run right when i bought it, it hesitated at 20 mph. The bogging out while taking off just started happening where I have to have high idle for to take off okay but then it's in gear where it's a slow take off.

The nipple at the carburetor is blocked with tiny little piece of duct tape. speaking of cracked intake it is not cracked could it be the wrong air filter where it's getting too much air in it bogs out that's why I needs taped halfway at the intake?

I would check the air filter if you haven’t recently. They do deteriorate over time and you could have pieces get sucked into the engine. You can remove the pump completely by removing the 2 screws that hold it in. Remove plastic cover then there are screws towards the front usually under lots of grease and grime. I’m sure there is a video listed to the left. Try to find a proper cap for that nipple or a piece of hose slipped on bent over and tied. That could be an air leak right there.

Ionno, pump i dont believe is making bogging problems. What ever previous owner did, its a carb problem. Ima bout to scrap the scooter. Mechanic from Lafayette thinks 2strokd is an idiiot, i think the guy is an idiot. I have no professionals th@t can fix it. I wanna drive it off a bridge with myself.

you can always do more Reading and Understanding. I didn't know anything about 2 strokes when I got my moped. I wasn't even a member of this forum for the first 5 years, I just lurked.
most of what I learned came from lots of reading and researching on this forum. there were a few other forums that I lurked and a few other sites where I got information on porting.
I never paid a shop to do any of the work. I learned on my own. I forced myself to learn this stuff. no one else has ever worked on my moped. I did my own troubleshooting.
you could do it on your own, it's just a matter of how much you really want it.

Going to a pod air filter will only make it use more fuel, louder, and not fun as good.

I am with these guys...f*cK reddit idiots... There are more two stroke guru's here on this forum than you can count. No pod filter will help solve a tuning problem, if you don't know what that problem is.
Ensure no leaks. Ensure a clean top end. Ensure the carb is set up properly. Learn it all here!

Going to a pod air filter will only make it use more fuel, louder, and not fun as good. going for the tuning nightmare. you can be like us in Hawaii with the wide open 28mm OKO carbs and everyone can hear you coming from 1/4 mile away. if you hard headed and still think pod filter is the way to go, buy a main jet kit -increments of 2- and get yourself a temp gage. probably gonna need some pilot jets too. ...if not, Guarantee you will soft seize your bore, only a matter of time.
