Sounds Carb related . Was it running great before hand did you change anything else besides carb . what carb did you put on there ? What main jet is in there ? Do you have smaller and larger jets than that on hand ? Are you wide open does it bog ? or is this at half throttle ? Does it run best at 3/4 throttle ? What does your plug look like ?

Like Zino said. Seems like fuel runs empty, slowly builds up, etc I would add maybe a fuel restriction: carb float, pinched fuel line, plugged filter, plugged petcock, crap in tank Also a vacuum line pinched if applicable

It started doing this all of a sudden and I thought it may be carb so I changed it with what came off it. If it was carb related it would do it the hole time not after I’ve went down the road a few times then bog to a stop and then go again could the cdi be doing it?

Sounds like something is getting hot and quitting, cools down and goes again. Sounds like any number of things. Start easy and check the plug, plug cap, wire and connections to all. Maybe coil or pick up on the fly wheel. Do some tests before you start throwing parts at it.

That lead should be insulated. That's a very strange thing to happen.

So the leak down tester would tell me if the head gasket needs replacing right?

When you take the shroud off you should see on that side with the whole some blow by between the cylinder head and cylinder if it is real bad . If not sure . Take the head off and check for a blown gasket.

This is not the carb no matter what carb it does it after about 5 miles so I’m starting with the plug and wire and going on that way hopefully if I get this job Monday I’m just gonna throw 500 at it and build it up alil

Idk what it could be please help thanks Try run transparent fuel lines to help with trouble shooting. Might be a fueling issue. Transparent fuel lines helped me realize my fuel filter was faulty and bleeding air into the fuel line. In another instance, my fuel petcock (vacuum operated) was bleeding air into the fuel line as well. Without transparent fuel lines, i would have never seen the air in the fuel lines.
