My housemate and I went on a long ride around town to visit each others favorite places. She was on the S50 and I wisely chose the Beo 150. We rode through downtown and checked out was was happening, it's a favorite route for motorcycles in town but none around today. we got on a 4 lane with a 45mph speed limit and I was having a hard time catching her. After a rather circuitous route we needed up west of town in a park they built around an old quarry. There was a nice view of the skyline but being a new park there were only saplings for shade. I got to lead then and we went by Salem Lake and watched the canoes and boats on the water. I then took her to my favorite gas station: The pumps were dry but it still is a great landmark. She rocks the s50 in ways I never will be able to. We then went by my alma mater and checked out what was going on. School doesn't start yet so it was quiet. We then rolled through Old Salem and skipped the cable stones and headed back through downtown. We hit every light red and ended up at home. It was a great ending to a good weekend, back to the grind tomorrow.

Well today I changed rollers from 3x9g and 3x10g to 8g and 9g and used a 180cc Italiajet corner spring with big bore and stroker kit need strong corner spring with changes front wheel comes up under power and pulls hard to 60mph cant wait to get right pipe and inlet for it should scream then, it beats a 180cc Italiajet with mild kit off the mark and to 55mph so I'm happy with that should get more top end with the gear kits that or on way I'm lucky to have over 100 different combo's gearing to use. to manny I dont race on track lol

Today I fitted a fly screen and then poked Violet in the garage for a week to see if 2T oil is seeping past the check valve before I dismantle carb etc as smoke's like mad if left a while before starting. Start it evry day or so and fine no loads of smoke.

Today on violet I checked the gearbox oil,all good and golden 😊.
But I does appear the 2T oil level is dropping so will monitor that for a few more days.

If you can, pull the fuel tank up and out carefully. I had a leak that was leaking 2t oil into the "seat bucket" area and it eventually leaked out of the body at the rear end of the left floorboard (right by the mounting bolt for the engine). It will do it still if I have a full oil tank and I lean her over on her side.

I drove a bit over 100 miles to get the first 600 mile service done at the dealership where I bought it. They were great to deal with and I wanted to give them more of my business. I have over 700 miles on the new Smax in 13 days. I am really enjoying this scoot.

Well I had a look this morning and you are right I see it is dripping on the floor and not from the carb box area so looks like tank out as well. Still do the check valve though as still smoking like mad on start up. Off to Swansea for more parts tomorrow morning.

Today I learned that my bushings in Scootie are toast. The ride lately has been twitchy and bouncy more than normal... got to work and grabbed back tire and the engine wiggles loosely in the frame and back shocks. Might be my motivation to swap back to the lighter wheelie frame, which has better bushings in the mount and a stiffer shock so hmm... Oh and milly I had a carb with a solid float needle that wouldn't fully close, so after a while of sitting fuel would flood the engine causing nasty smoke at first start. I swapped my float needle from the original carb in and that solved the issue.

Thank you dexameth I shall check that out. Just dismantled it and got new gaskets etc. Found the carb box had two gaskets on it instead of one so better check the face is flat.

80 miles done this afternoon, stop and go traffic through town and no radiator fan = 182, I had to split some traffic to get moving and cool off. Today’s cool weather means she felt pretty strong. I saw a Yamaha RZ, first I’ve ever seen one on the road. It almost brought a tear to my eye.

Sadly nothing on my scoot my neighbor loaned me his bobcat and I have been moving dirt today. Saving tons of cash from paying someone else to do it.

Started porting and polishing a 50cc 2-stroke. Didn't finish.
Got tired, having a beer. There's always next weekend.
