I need to buy some more sanding drums and some more Dremel burr bits, so the head porting isn't done.
Started cutting out the new motor mounts. Hopefully I'll get those done tonight. I'd love to have my engine mounted by this weekend.

Yesterday the knicker elastic snapped on the rat scooter and I coasted to a halt. Pushed the thing about 100 yds and a lady stopped and offered me a lift. She dropped me off down the road and said she always stops for bikers as her husband has one an old Francis Barnett and hopes people would do the same for him. Picked up with trailer shoved it down the back of the garage with the vespaclone which needs work and picked up a new belt from the local bike shop.

Went shopping before work - cats were out of food completely and screaming at me. Also got some root beer.

Sold my first scooter that I had for exactly 23 months. Definitely has been a journey, learned to do endless wheelies, circle wheelies and some other stupid stuff. Kinda sad to see it go but I need money for a car, so nothing much that I can do. Hopefully will buy one in the near future.

I put a Battery tender cord under the seat on my Smax and added a dual 5 volt adaptor so I can charge my phone and stuff. I'm a bit surprised Yamaha didn't have some type of power outlet already on the scoot but they didn't. I plan to run a wire from the battery which is right in front of the tail light on this scoot to the front and add a 12 cigarette lighter outlet so I can have 12 volts or an adaptor for 5 volts that will plug into that. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0776NHH3J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Rode the TMAX to the beach. It was busy and it kinda sucked. As I got in the area on a side road, there was a long backup starting a few miles from the main strip. I wanted to get gas so I went down the shoulder and then realized I was actually 2 lights away. Just stayed in the shoulder. Pulled into the gas station and some guy comes in and parks at the pump ahead of me. He gets out and loudly says "You're lucky buddy. You're lucky.". I assumed he was just upset that I went past some cars on the shoulder. He looked angry, but I didn't even acknowledge him with more than a look before going back to the task at hand (filling up the scoot).
I finished up and when I got back on the scooter I realized he was still giving me the stink eye. I stared back for a sec and then pulled over into parking spots nearby. I wanted the change my GoPro battery anyway. Took my helmet off, even though I don't need to to change batteries. I figured if I was lucky that I was wearing gear, that took that excuse away. He never said anything else.
I looked at the video just now and it looks like he turned his turn signal on to come into the station just as I was getting beside him. Guess he meant I was lucky he didn't hit me. I was in the wrong, but looking at me like I peed in your Cheerios isn't gonna get you anywhere. I think he got more mad because I paid pretty much no attention to him. If he had said, you need to be careful, I didn't see you till the last second... I would have just apologized.

But they act like it is their right to rage on others about a simple driving mistake or miscue.

I attempted to install a Koso rear fender hugger on my Smax but it doesn't seem to fit. I got it from Webike in Japan and I intend to contact them about what might be wrong. On the right side it attaches where the rear brake line attaches and on the left it is supposed to attach to the air cleaner but it doesn't line up with the screws. The directions are in Japanese and the pictures aren't all that clear but I'm pretty sure it will not work.
I also hit 1,000 miles today. It is now fully broken in although I was not good at going slow enough to follow the procedure Yamaha wanted.

Multimeter crapped out. Needed one. Had to go 50 miles to the nearest place to get a decent one that's open today. Enjoyed the heck out of the ride though. Made the entire 100 mile trip in under 2 hours, including going in Home Depot, getting gas, and cleaning my helmet. Even passed a sport bike on a back road on the way home.
