This is a generic Bosch automotive 12v pump. It was about $100Cad. I run it on my twin and it has no problems keeping it cool, it's light relatively small and I believe brushless. Here is the aliexpress version s.click.aliexpress.com/e/qGxsNvLaI run mine on 9v using a 12-9 buck converter, which you can get off aliexpress for a few dollars. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/LZ1ge5vq

Stud to stud center measurement, not diagonal.
Honda/Peugeot = 47mm(square) Minarelli = 50mm Piaggio = 48mm
I need to know uh, for a friend, yeah....

Stock rod stroke ratio is 1.93
Most ministroke cranks have a rod stroke ratio of 1.82
Modern high strung streetbikes are 2.0+
My build will be 2.07 with a 91mm connecting rod. Ordered today from a local shop as they had them cheaper than I could find anywhere. ProX 03.1102 Note that the big end is 1.5mm bigger(width), and will need to be resized, or the crank modified. I think the latter so I can use the wider bearing. You could also use a ProX 03.2104 which is 2mm wider on the big end and 1mm shorter @ 90mm and give a rod stroke ratio of 2.05.
Zoom.

Well I ordered 2 of those 44mm Stroke Dio AF18 CMR from DynoScoot. Never heard of him but he sells a lot on ebay. Ordering the rod and the cylinder very soon too. Let the games begin.

Well time to make a few brackets, hang these things and give em a wash and a clearcoat. They just keep getting uglier. Too bad i'm recovering from a broken knee, I wanna ride this thing. I still have to make a Delrin waterblock for the coolant in to the cylinders.

I think this is the 4th time I have cut these poor pipes apart. Hopefully the last time. I am much happier with the small rear wheel fitment and how much more tucked I can get the muffler. Second one will stick out slightly further but still be packed in tighter. Should be good.

This makes me really miss my banshee. I need to get in on this twin cylinder game sooner then later. Its the entrance fee that hurts. If I didn't build it and bought it, even if I did it on the cheap it would be like a 8-9kCAD build. Malossi Cases, MXS Kit, 2 cylinder sets, 2 pipes, 2 carbs, etc... it quickly spirals out of control.

Rotary valve intrigues me, but Im not there yet. Something like Alex of 2strokestuffing fame has made is somewhat simple, and I have seen some gnarly ones with belts and cogs... but I am always curious if the extra pumping and windage of yet another friction surface would be offset by the straight shot intake charge with no restriction in the eyes of power VS a reed setup.
I can appreciate the fact it eliminates some of the downfalls of reeds, the compromise between low speed and high speed flow reed selection, reed flutter, etc
But for now in the Dio I just want a corner carver with decent power. The Spree is a little too long and low to truly huck around, but it sure reels in the straights.

Im getting closer, I've put the old girl on a diet, she's a bit portly since the twins so I decided to strip down some stuff. Oh baaaby aluminum cylinders, 2 of these weight as much as just the cylinder of the other kit. Made a lot of chips, turning a 6" dia piece of aluminum and turning off over 1" of material off the length. Taaa Daaa. I got rid of the big wheel. The smaller wheel is waaay lighter. Back to the old school thinner wheel with big tire and matching Kitaco wheels. Now I can tuck the pipes in closer as well.
