Can you provide more details on how you attached the two crank wheels together?Press fit, shaft thickness,etc.. Thanks! John This photo sort of shows what I did. I took two stock Dio cranks and pressed them apart. In this picture is actually one "crank". I took the flywheel side of one and machined it down to the bearing journal essentially removing all the tapered section for the flywheel. I forget the diameter as this was done in October sometime. I then bored it. It is a press fit, 2-3 thou. I pressed the variator side into that Then it was assembled, timed and checked and the end was welded lightly to make sure it didn't come apart under speed. I had to weld it underwater as the first attempt wrecked the bearing due to localized heat. RD and Banshee guys weld their race crank pins together but they have a lot more material so they don't get as hot as quickly. It may fail catastrophically in which case i will be making my own center crank from scratch.

Wheel adapter to bolt on the 4x110 wheel to the back of this thing. My lifan Dio hybrid ignition was a complete failure so I bought a Taida mini from SSS and redid it Brandon threw in some coils so I used them Made an aluminum engine mount and chopped up China pipes to make them fit, and to remove the horrible horrible imperfections in them. Shock mount Radiator stuff Fin till the weather gets warm enough to tune. And what you want, a video of it running.

Hello all my name is Joel. I'm Canadian, Eh. I am an old school Toyota head and fabricator car builder turned scooter addict. A few years ago I was finishing up building my 1975 Corolla and a customers 1987 Corolla 1UZ V8 drift car swap When one day an odd thing happened. A buddy of mine got a free Honda Spree, and then another... and then another. In return for helping him get one running he gave me the leftovers... 2 1986 red Sprees, one was an Iowa. I did a vin search and got papers for the non Iowa as they are not legal up here in Canada for road use and got one ripping with nothing more than the leftovers and spares in the boxes. It was fun, but brutally slow, topping out at about 55kph. I ripped around on it for a few weeks till a box arrived from Japan. Inside was a set of monkey Kitaco 10" wheels, DioZX front end and wheels, a China pipe, Peugeot Speedfight 2LC cylinder, 200mm disk front and Monkey and Didi17 hub. Oh and also an early AF18E.... That got stuffed in proper quick with a bunch of fabricobbling together. I got the seat recovered and cut all the foam out of it leaving just enough to keep my butt off the pan. In this iteration it was a fun scoot, did a little CVT tuning and it moved along nicely... but I got bored. I got a 50mm Taiwan bore, ported it, fixed all the casting blemishes and sand stuck in the transfers, put on a 24mm OKO, CT intake and did some more CVT tomfoolery along with a quick rebuild. It would do 100KPH in this form and I made it thru the whole Victoria scooter rally. I did a drag style pipe exit for fun. The footpegs were short lived they dragged in the turns Monkey R front fender added. And that brings us up to date on the normal part of this build.
