Keen to see a video of it running with the bbk!
Sorry if you posted and I missed it, but where did you get your cht gauge? Also I've ordered the same speedo/tach, just wondering if you'd be able to post a photo of how you mounted the hall sensor on your fork and if you use just one or both of the magnets?

I got it from this seller on ebay: stores.ebay.com/Procon-Productsthey do custom length leads, make sure to get one big enough. I've got a bad cold and don't really feel up to the task of installing the BBK atm so it will be put on hold til I have another free weekend. oh and I had to use km/hr mode just to get a reading high enough to use in MPH, but if you do two magnets 180 degrees from eachother I think that will work a lot better. uploading a video will post link when its up edit: HERE

Awesome, cheers for that! Will order a gauge and thermocouple soon.
Looks simple enough to set up the hall effect, we use KPH here so I'm not worried about getting MPH accurate.

you will probably have to mount 2 sensors then.
the reason I switched it to kph, is because the mph reading wasn't big enough even with the diameter settings at its highest. this multiplied the "mph" result by 1.6 and gave me the correct numbers for mph just with "kph" next to it.

Well installed the piston, cylinder, and head.
tightening the head with my torque wrench, snapped a stud. I don't think the torque wrench is calibrated properly.
2 steps forward and 1 step back it always seems

Got a new stud, its slightly longer maybe 5-6mm.
hand tightened the head nuts, will recheck them for looseness after a few miles.
Just need a spark plug and solder to check squish clearance
or so I thought.
I decided to try to crank it over with the starter to see if the stator was working (I checked that the piston wasn't hitting the head first by manually cranking with the variator).
Insert key, turn key. no lights no nothing.
Check voltage of the battery.
get this, 0.10 Volts!!
this thing completely died, I'm amazed.
is this normal? It's only been sitting for like 2 months... should I try to get a refund or something? I bought it new I think like april dating from my forum posts.
baffled.

no no the battery itself is reading nothing. Like I turned the key to turn the speedo on and nothing happened.
checked voltage of battery and it was 0.10 volts!!

If the battery sat that long and was not charged often, its likely toast..May try charging it to see if it'll come back from the dead...

Heck yeah!Dont use a "smart charger",it wont charge a dead battery(I wont comment on smart(zombie) phones here..).If you hook it to even a car battery for 30 minutes,it'll bring up the voltage enough for any charger to carry on from there(feel the batt temp while doing this,if it gets real warm, disconnect it)..Hope it comes back!!

I've been digging through this thread since I just got my r50x on the road, what size main jet did you end up with? I'm running a bbk, tecnigas pipe, and a 19mm (??) dellorto clone with a malossi screw in filter. I've got a 75, 82, 95, and 96. I fear that the 82 is borderline lean during the day, but lean enough to soft seize at night, which is what I was going through last night. Just trying to pick your brain!
