Oh I wasn't upset by the comment. It is a lil heavy duty but I had to work with what I had. As it is now it weights less than 30lbs. I thought about using a 2" ball but I'm afraid that would look giant on the back of my little vino.

The 2" ball will look giant on my scoot also, but I work with what I have or what I can get CHEAP.
I plan on making the hitch assy easily removable. I am using a three point attachment with longer 8mm bolts and studs with pins so I can pull it off and on quickly.

I got quite a bit done on te trailer this week. I have the hitch pretty well completed. Just needs a few more welds then prepped for paint. The pictures make it look kinda out of place but it looks a ton better in person. All I did for the hitch is bend pipe to go from the muffler bracket to the rear. Then another tube from the cargo rack bolt down. Then a couple reinforcement pieces. The hitch also swivels up and down and left to right. It has some wobble in the hook ups but I think better pins will fix that. I also bent a pretty cool front end. I think I'm going to build some sides for it then clean up all the welds and paint it. Then just need to put a brake light on it.

I can see a nice office chair mounted back there with that nice upturned foot rest.
You might want to add a 'rip cord' type release if you carry a passenger to avoid any back seat driving. But then you would probably need to use a couple of the swivel casters from the chair base on the front of the trailer...
What would happen if you used one of them fancy wheel motors and added some batteries?
Does the hitch have enough up and down motion to ride with the suspension?

We have snow on te ground today so it will have to wait a while longer. I can see a nice office chair mounted back there with that nice upturned foot rest. Yeah it's kinda hard to tell from the picture but I basically built a u-joint. It can swivel almost 180 degrees vertical and horizontal. I'll try to get a video of how it works today or tomorrow.

If the hitch is attached to the exhaust mount and the body, will not this cause trouble when the engine pivots due the rear shock compressing over bumps?Or am I missing something??

not just extend the tube from the exhust mounts to the shock mount on the other side? That should give enough strengh and help with up and down movements of the engine/tranny assembly.

Or turn the bar attached to the body into a shock itself?

I think I have come up with a solution. My dad always told me to keep it simple so thats what I did. Its not welded or braced up yet and I lost some range of motion but I think it is a better solution. I ended up just welding one of the u-brackets to the cargo rack. Which is bolted directly to the frame with 3 bolts. I figure since it is sturdy enough to pick up the scoot from it should be able to handle the trailer.

That's the ticket !!! !!! 190mech figured out what I was talking about. My trailer weighs a bit more so it is being mounted to the trans case and lower shock mounts etc. It is also large enough to carry 4x8' sheets of materials. My R-trike itself has quite a bit of cargo capacity. It is my grocery getter but not today. Lots of birds flew over and pooped white stuff all over.
