I like the welds on pipes and dislike chrome pipes. I cote mine in mop n glow to keep it looking good. Niz that paint looks great! Thanks! I have to agree on the pipes- I like to see the welds and don't care much for the chrome look. Those high end pipes like Roost etc. with the gazillion welds are beautiful! totally agree with you guys, those pipes are works of art. No need to chrome it and had its inner beauty!

Had a fun time yesterday. The SMC scoot buyer and his cousin and wife all came over on their scoots haha. Their other scoot is a yellow bugeye Zuma. I helped him with some kickstart pawl noises and we BS'ed for awhile and I had them test drive my 90cc and I rode the Zuma. It was a good time. Few hours later the wife showed up with fresh warm banana bread and thanked me for helping them out!
I'm giving their other buddy dibs on the fugly duckling before it hits Craigslist!

i dont know 100% but i was told that it changes how it controls the sound waves/gasses of the pipe. now if i could remember who i heard that from it would be nice. lol

A few more touch-ups and small details to attend to and the Fugly Duckling will be finished! Can't believe I did such an extensive paint job on a flip but I think she really did turn into a swan...

To chop or not to chop? I always chop the tails, but this one doesn't really have any straight lines so it will be an obvious chop- of course I would contour the cut as much as possible to look good, but still debating this one...

That rear would be hard to cut and not look hacked with all the molded in curves there...

Still a little pissed at myself for doing this one: While the silver flake "sparkle blast" paint was still wet I accidentally dropped the panel behind the freezer! It slid down the wall and messed up the new paint. grrr. This panel was deeply gouged in the black paint all the way down to the white plastic and I didn't expect my "blend" repair to look all that great since I'm not a professional painter... I've been doing way too much painting on this thing so it's gonna have to be good enough! I re-cleared and wet sanded most of the orange peel out with 1000 grit and buffed the living hell out of it. Before buffing: After buffing:

It would take more than paint to fix the front end, but you've done good work on it.
