It's been a little while since I've been in the e-scoot game and I didn't even think about throttle compatibility. The Razor throttle is 4-wire and the controller takes the 3-wire input. I tried every configuration I could while testing with my meter but they just won't work together. I also found out this Razor throttle is only 1 speed; on/off. Wth? I could just put in a push-button and eliminate the controller altogether (this is how I had my e-bike). I ordered a new throttle from ebay and it's pretty nice. It even has the 36v battery meter! There are cheaper throttles out there ($6-$10) but they're from China and I don't want to wait 2 weeks. Mainly for my patience level- not my daughters! lol.

Nice build. I built this Razor for my Daughter couple years ago. 36v controller, over volted 500-watt 24v motor. Top speed was almost 30-mph. Very Nice! Great minds think alike haha. Hmmm 30mph and it's almost exactly the mods I'm doing. Does it seem too fast? I'm worried about the brake- the tiny rear drum doesn't seem up to the task of high speeds. I'm thinking of adding a BMX brake to the front. So it seems I may need to put in the jumper on the "governer" I was only hoping for @20mph... You for sure need to upgrade Brakes.

Throttle came today two days earlier than expected! Woohoo gotta leave more positive Ebay feedback. Looks sweet and the battery indicator works perfect. My daughter thinks it's cool too. I wired everything in and nothing.... What the heck? I pulled the controller apart and realized there's a perfect pinhole in one of the capacitors. I soldered it off and soldered a bigger one on from an old spare I had... I was a little concerned it might be too tall to fit back into the controller housing but it slid in no problem! I re-wired everything and now it works yay! Well- kinda- the motor was turning backward so a quick pin swap and ready for a speed check. My daughter took it for a ride and happy to report 22 MPH! Perfect! Wow it looked pretty fast with her on it haha. Come to find out this controller doesn't have a 'governer' port so I'm happy that 22 was all it did. Now to just tidy up some of the wiring and tuning is complete! That was actually pretty easy. Now onto paint and lighting mods!

I re-read your build after getting 22mph from what I thought were the same mods. Then I realized you used a 500w motor. I'm sticking with the over-volted 250w stock motor and it's perfect!

Madison had a friend over so we decided to do a drag race!
Real happy with the speed of her scoot. Considerably faster now but nothing crazy. Perfect!

Now all she need is a full leather suit and a full face helmet.

Hi guys! Another thread I wanted to button up as D-U-N Done! My daughter has been riding her little modified scoot every day for months now with it stripped naked and all the body panels sitting up on a shelf collecting dust (As you see it in the video). Last week she finally asked me if we were ever going to paint her body panels and install them so I got to it. I did my typical rattle can paint job, but way back when I did the Adly Panther (Fugly Duckling) flip scoot I discovered a product called "Glitter Blast" because I wanted to give the Fugly Duckling some extra bling. She absolutely loved the blinged out sparkle look and said she wanted that in her paint when we painted her scooter. I promised her we would and sure enough I kept that promise and delivered a blinged out "Sparkle Blast" two-tone blue paint job for her! We still need to de-rust and paint the rims but other than that it's done! She's very happy with it and that makes me smile. She had originally planned to put some zebra striped duct tape covering the fenders but when it was all done she said "It's perfect the way it is" As a final touch she picked out a "Salt Life" decal for it!

I hate photobucket Search for "photobucket fix" or something similar and there are add-ons for browsers that will make old photobucket pics show up.
