Little update 90GTVertYesterday, I got my new exhaust bolts and 5mm jet 80 for my 17,5 mm carb. When I took the jet 95 out, I noticed, that I made a mistake, by ordering wrong jet. I called to the store and told them, that I ordered wrong jet. I went there again and I was able to swap the 5mm no.80 jet to right one. The right one was 6 mm jet 80. Like they say - We all learn from our mistakes. I have not tried the carb with the 6mm 80 jet. But I will soon, I guess.

OK. One of my friend told me, that he´s going to sell his scoot - It is the Aprilia on my first post on this thread. I am thinking, maybe I will buy it from him and sell my Baotian scoot. Before that I will tune my scoot to work with the 17,5 mm carb. About that Aprilia buy: This scoot is an Aprilia SR50R, year is maybe 2009 or so. The one of the back side plastic is damaged, but I will get 2 new plastic covers, with this scoot (one cover costs about 250€ new). He told me, that If I will make it a beautiful scoot - then it can be sold double the price he is selling it for. So I´m still thinking about buying

I took a little time to think, about the Aprilia SR50R. I came to the conclusion, that the same amount of money, which would have gone out from my pocket, for the Aprilia SR50R scoot, I can build a more or less the same, maybe better scoot. So the Baotian BT49QT-28B Red Dawn Build is on. I took a loan, to buy all parts necessary for that build. I had an idea for my scoot: I could buy a Aprilia SR50R´s or Yamaha Aerox (Minarelli Horizontal) motor and use that on my scoot? Or not?

I have no experience with them, but as long as you get an Aprilia Minarelli and not the Morini or Piaggio, I'd think it should bolt in. Aerox should be a Mina. Not sure what their injected models are like, but if that were the goal you'd be better off to buy a whole Aprilia I'd think.

Ok. Then I will work with the clone engine. Now I have to deal with the exhaust leak again , but the weather is not on my side. I will try the other exhaust - Tecnigas Q-TRE, while I change the exhaust bolts.

I changed the exhaust bolts and put the new Q-TRE exhaust to my scoot. I wanted to have a exhaust tightly closed with cylinder. I attached the nuts, thinking that I would turn them little more, so then that is ok. Then I broke one of the exhaust bolts AGAIN Now I drive with the so called HARLEY again ...

If you're regularly breaking bolts and having sealing troubles I'm assuming you aren't following 190mech's advice about mounting. It's good advice. Plus I know after he initially posted this you said you forced an exhaust on, so I'd start by reading over this again and seeing what you can do. Start at the cylinder flange first!Leave the rear pipe brackets off, tighten the head pipe flange nuts(or bolts) a small amount to pull the pipe snug against the cylinder flange. Now go back to the rear mounts and make them fit where the pipe is now..Do not force anything! The pipe to cylinder fit is most important!!Redrill, bend, add spacers,or whatever it takes to bolt the rear mounts to the pipe without any tension what so ever. This should make your pipe, engine and YOU happy!!..Hope this helps!!

Ok. I was thinking, that if the exhaust is going to leak with 1 gasket. Maybe I should use 2 gaskets instead of one + 700 degree exhaust mounting paste.
One other thing came into my mind - What if I mix the 500 degree and 700 degree exhaust paste together?

I brought the items on the picture, what are used for fireplace door gaskets. The glue stands heat up to 1400 degree celcius. I was thinking to use it for extra seal for my exhaust leak. I hope this works.

Today I placed order for some stuff, also these two: 1. Cylinder-Malossi-Sport-50cc2. Crankshaft-Motoforce-StandardThe cylinder kit replacement will fix my current exhaust leak for good. I´m positive about that. But 90GTVert - is the Crankshaft and Malossi Sport 50cc Cylinder going to work together fine or not? I am not an expert

The crank uses a 12mm piston pin and so does the kit so you're good there. Both should be for stock stroke. That's not a real high rev kit so that crank matches up OK.

Well these are 1st bacic things, that I need. I can´t use these exhausts, that I brought, with my original cylinder, because the exhaust keeps leaking. Original Cylinder works only with the original exhaust.
