I installed the exhaust myself, but something went wrong, because I was in hurry and now I think, the exhaust gasket is leaking. She sound is loud. There was so little room to work, while I was fixing the exhaust to cylinder. What to you think 90GTVert ?

Start at the cylinder flange first!Leave the rear pipe brackets off, tighten the head pipe flange nuts(or bolts) a small amount to pull the pipe snug against the cylinder flange. Now go back to the rear mounts and make them fit where the pipe is now..Do not force anything! The pipe to cylinder fit is most important!!Redrill, bend, add spacers,or whatever it takes to bolt the rear mounts to the pipe without any tension what so ever. This should make your pipe, engine and YOU happy!!..Hope this helps!!

It should be somewhat obvious if the exhaust gasket is leaking. Just figure out if the sound is coming from the header or the silencer. 190mech gave some great advice to follow.

It should be somewhat obvious if the exhaust gasket is leaking. Just figure out if the sound is coming from the header or the silencer. 190mech gave some great advice to follow. I did put my hand near the header near the original airbox and there was lot of wind. I was sure, that it was coming from the cylinder. One time, I started my scoot without exhaust and the sound was loud. Same sound was with this new exhaust, but not that loud. The exhaust install was a pain in the ass. I brought this exhaust from Heavy Tuned site. After buy I looked the same exhaust from Scooter Attack. At the Scooter Attack´s Scoot list, that supports this exhaust - my scoot was not on that list. The HT site I searched parts by the scoot model and that showed this exhaust under my scoot. I will try to correct this exhaust leak with the advice from 190mech. I will let you know what happend PEACE!

I tightened the head pipe flange bolts and then the other two bolts did not fit to holes on the motor (2 larger on the right @ the picture) I pushed the exhaust down and then the bolts lined up with holes. But then the head pipe side on the gasket also turned with the gasket. that was the problem and thats why the gasget had the gap. Then I took the original bolt and forced it to place. I wanted damper attachment portion of one side of the cylinder to twist into place , but , unfortunately, part of the damper cylinder bolt broke in half.

So 90GTVert yesterday, I was riding home from work and the gasket was leaking. The sound of my scoot was, like I was riding an Harley So I went to a store near my home and wanted to by this: Exhaust paste (700 degree celcius)But they did not have this @ the moment, so they gave me This: Exhaust repair paste (500 degree celcius)So I brought the 500 degree one. Went home and had a crack with that. After about 1,5 hour work I finished the exhaust leak-rapair-work. I did put this paste to the exhaust mount side and also to the cylinder side of exhaust. Ahter that I put the new gasket to the exhaust with bolts. Then went under the scoot and lined up the exhaust with holes on the bottom of the cylinder. Tightened the head pipe flange bolts to cylinder about 70% or so and then lined up the two mount bolts on the braket - right side of the engine, few turns to tighten them later. Then finished tightening of the head pipe flange bolts to the point of TIGHT. And then finaly tightened the last two braket bolt, right side of the engine, what I left before loosly. Then was a test ride time - The leakage was gone and all rhe exhaust gases game out of the right place. But now was a speed problem. The scoot did not accelerate to 70km/h anymore. The idea to use the paste, came to me today morning, but yesterday I orderd new exhaust and manual choke kit to the carburettor, that I´m waiting from Heavy Tuned. When the Carburettor and all other stuff are together, then I will change the Inlet system and put the 17.5mm Motorforce carburettor with manual choke to my scoot. Maybe that will fix the speed problem.

From the pic it looks like that exhaust paste is meant as a repair, not a sealant. If I've used that stuff I don't recall it, but I'd imagine you're gonna have a real fun time trying to get the exhaust off of the cylinder next time. You want to use RTV sealants that withstand heat, not muffler repair chemicals. Hopefully I'm wrong and that stuff isn't that strong.
You may need to do some more tuning with the exhaust leak sealed.

I think 90GTVert hit it right on- if the scoot was running good with the exhaust leaking, and now you have sealed it- it's probably running richer now. Tuning the carb by systematically dropping main jet sizes would probably get your speed back!

Well, I needed a quick fix fast. I´m waiting a new exhaust from Scooter Attack and from Heavy Tuned, some other parts. Also there is a 17,5mm carb. + manual choke and convert kit coming .... I cant wait.

Today I placed a order for the Exhaust mounting paste, that I first wanted to buy. Also I need to buy two M6x26mm Exhaust Studs too.

Today I got the carb, what I was waiting about 10 days . I know what the screws are for, but the confusing part is the air and fuel line place. I think the largest nossle is for fuel? This carb is different, then my stock carb. I do not know, maybe I need to order the Intake manifold "wedge" too for my scoot?

The barb facing up should be the fuel inlet. The others are vacuum and oil injection connections. Looks like either a different intake, a wedge spacer, or and adapter between carb and intake would be needed. Stock intake won't work with that carb?
