Wow. I hope you know where all the screws go too. You have to have the coolest wife ever. Or your wife doesn't exist and you're just crazy. O.o I think Sitticuss is on to something though. Maybe it's the Florida humidity or the mosquitoes that's making us crazy. Or I'm a superman that can juggle wet-sanding parts in the kitchen sink while cutting veggies for a salad all while cooking burgers on the grill and holding an intelligent conversation while we watch "American Horror Story" on the DVR while the wifey feeds the baby. lol I watch maybe two hours a week of TV-from the DVR. Even that is efficient because I can barely stand to waste so much time watching regular TV where I can't fast forward through commercials! I spend a considerable time in the garage on the scoots, but I also make time for my family. I'd go nuts if I just worked on these things all the time! Well damn. Careful or they will start cloning you.

Top of the eighth! I don't have the front piece bolted on yet- it's just sitting there. I want to do the "dual headlight mod" first...

I did get the brakes working, but there's not much meat left on these pads. 28k scoot and probably still original!

I'm not even allowed to go back to my job until after surgery and full clearance of restrictions- it's a 'liability thing'. I am currently only getting 60% of my income and the wifey is on un-paid maternity leave which she (we) actually wanted her to take the full 12 weeks but her work is cutting it to 8 so it's back to reality for her soon. I'm not sure how long I'll be laid up after my surgery but these flip scoots have helped to keep us thriving in this time of low-income. That's why you don't see me buying a bunch of scoot parts with the extra $$ It's nice to be able to provide for my family while staying at home so I treat these scoots as my 'job' for the time being. The clock is ticking and it'll eventually be back to reality for me too but I sure am having fun working from home! Life is too short to sit on the couch! So yeah- if I want to bring hundreds of dollars of freshly painted scoot parts in the house for the night to protect them from overspray or wet sand parts in the kitchen sink or melt parts in the oven-haha- she's ok with it!

Bug eye Zuma "Dual Headlight Mod": These particular Zuma's come stock from Yamaha with only one headlight on during "normal" driving. Both headlights come on when you flip to brights, but otherwise it just looks as if you're always driving around with one headlight out. I think Buell's are the same way? Here's the vid I used as reference to complete the mod:

Just like I feared- the fitment is way out of whack... ....But with some bending and pulling (and some nice deep fingerprints to remind me this clear coat is little more than twelve hours old!) I persuaded it into place! Thank goodness for that deep lip around the edge to keep this panel in place! Whew!

What about using a heat gun to persuade it back into shape while you're installing it?

It's already installed! That piece has a lot of Bondo in it! I hope it doesn't stress itself out though. One thing about plastic/rubber I've learned is even if you get it snapped back in, when it's out of shape it will stress the connections. I hope it holds well for ya
