How bad are the holes off or is it just sits on there at an angle now, looks good too me It's pretty shrunken and twisted out of shape- I did the best I could to get decent fitment but the "bug eye" headlight housing doesn't fit correctly now- there's a gap between the two parts and I really have to stetch it out to even get the tabs and bolt holes to meet up. The sides also warped and caved in so the line between the lower shroud and this piece isn't straight anymore... I'm sure there are more fitment issues but I wont know until I get all the parts bolted back up to the scoot- fingers crossed!

Ouch!Sorry to hear that..Perhaps a nice straight bead of caulk to fill in the gaps once its assembled will make it look better...

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that, but we'll see how bad/good she looks! FINALLY! Everything is painted! I had no idea when I took up this project how much of a challenge it'd be and also how time consuming! I went all-out doing a nice paint job on this Zuma- filling (some) scratches, wet sanding between coats, wet sanding clear coat, baking parts, body work, and polishing them all out etc. I just hope it all looks as good on the scoot as it does laying on the floor haha. Most of the black parts are done in black satin except for a few small details like the headlight ring is gloss black and sanded and polished. Now I can move on to more pressing matters, like why the front brake isn't working....

Wow. I hope you know where all the screws go too. You have to have the coolest wife ever. Or your wife doesn't exist and you're just crazy. O.o I think Sitticuss is on to something though. Maybe it's the Florida humidity or the mosquitoes that's making us crazy.

Maybe it's the Florida humidity or the mosquitoes that's making us crazy. Or I'm a superman that can juggle wet-sanding parts in the kitchen sink while cutting veggies for a salad all while cooking burgers on the grill and holding an intelligent conversation while we watch "American Horror Story" on the DVR while the wifey feeds the baby. lol I watch maybe two hours a week of TV-from the DVR. Even that is efficient because I can barely stand to waste so much time watching regular TV where I can't fast forward through commercials! I spend a considerable time in the garage on the scoots, but I also make time for my family. I'd go nuts if I just worked on these things all the time!

Searched all over for the Zuma disk brake pads and neither partsforscooters nor scrappy sells them (my quick-ship-go-to's). Apparantly they fit E-ton Beamer too. Feebay has some for around $20 but earliest delivery date I see is next Friday. One of the sellers on Ebay is in St. Pete and I may try to just drive to their store location and pick them up...

Figured Since I was tearing into the front brakes I'd paint the caliper real purty like. Bake in the oven 30 mins @170 degrees or until you can insert a toothpick and it comes out dry... WARNING! Consuming raw or undercooked calipers may be an indication of serious mental issues... Looks real purty like don't it? Once I get to this point it means I'm at the bottom of the seventh inning! I see tha light!

Well Hot Damn! So far I'm very satisfied with the fitment of the melted and remelted and repaired front body panel! Even my bondo'd ink pen repair on the front nose cover worked out well haha. Now I kinda wish I would've gotten a pic of the front panel when it was all melted... and when I re-heated it and made it all 'lumpy'. I seriously nearly considered it a lost cause and threw it away! Here you can see the front lip could fit a little better... ...and one of the dang cracks opened back up... The triangular piece that juts out suffered the worst melting- it was drooped so far it touched the oven rack and shrank by about 1/4" or more. I can live with this fitment... So far so good! It aint perfect but I'm happy considering! Now I'm curious to see how bad the bottom sides line up with the lower fairing since it kinda shrunk and curled in- there's nearly 1/4" thick of Bondo there! Updates to come...
