It took me a little while to make contact with the seller via "email only" on Craigslist, but I was persistent and scored this 2006 Yamaha Zuma w/title for $250! Wow! I was having a hard time finding anything I liked- at the right price- in my local (Tampa Bay) Craigslist and when this happens I occasionally scour other nearby CL areas such as Orlando and Lakeland. I may have to check the Lakeland CL more frequently as this dirt cheap Zuma was only an hour and 15 minute drive... Here's the Craigslist ad: lakeland.craigslist.org/mcy/4776971253.html I haven't really dug into it yet, but as the ad states- it doesn't run. Apparantly it needs a new top end... Looks like all the parts are here but it's a lil' ruff! I'm bummed about that small tear in the seat as it's kinda pricey to replace- maybe I'll come up with a good solution before the end of the project... I'll basically be painting everything so I'm already debating color schemes right off the bat. I'm thinking if I'm painting it all why not go something custom like orange? or I kinda like white... I'm a fan of blue scoots.... Yellow would be sweet... Oooh I like silver too... lol as you can see I haven't made up my mind yet In the end practicality will outweigh everything else as I'll probably need to match the color to some decals I've already located... At least it has pretty nice Kenda tires!

Orange would look good they were available in yellow some years lots of blue ones around. Pig has a white one that makes me drool but that wasn't a state side color option only Canada. I think I've seen seat covers cheep on ebay

Cast iron cylinders are tough a new piston and rings with a hone might fix it

Nice find Niz! The Zumas are put together well. You'll like working on it as far as the quality goes. I ditched the rear footrests on mine and used plugs from Lowes for the holes. Congrats!

Good to see ya! I see now what you mean that the rear footrests can just be removed and it's still finished underneath haha good option! Allowed me to just eliminate broken plastic. I'll have to take a stroll through Lowes or HD for those plugs- in plumbing section??

Turned out nice! I have some marine vinyl left over from some boat seats I did a few summers back- I was just telling the wifey the other day I need to find a decent sewing machine that'll do vinyl and learn to sew!

I need to get my own power washer! lol This is first time I've ever taken a bunch of scooter parts up to the car wash but it sure saved some time! I usually hand wash them myself piece by piece.
