Hey, you can always say it has built in "GPS" too! I saw the compass lol. And that's a great idea, taking it to the carwash. I should do that with my VX50, the thing still has a ton of grease caked onto it. If you get this thing anywhere like wat 2TDave did, you can expect at least $1,000 for it. I can't wait to see what you do with this.

Nice little project niz. That seat doesn't have any steep topography so it should be pretty easy to re-do. I used a regular hand squeeze stapler and some faux leather material I found at a place called Joanns Fabrics for $12.

I may end up giving it a shot- I was thinking I might be able to use a heat gun to add a lil heat and get it stretched real nice with no wrinkles... Of course I would "re-create" the 'Yamaha' on the sides...

I'm curious as to the dangers of hitting a scoot with a pressure washer though. There's not much exposed as for the engine of course, but the wiring is kind of exposed in some spots and the places where grease/grime would build up the most is right in there usually on the swingarm and under the front fairings. Hmm. Maybe I should do like 90GTVert and just drive through the auto wash.

I have also used a hand staple gun and it worked fine. With steel staples though not the aliminum ones which tend to bend. Looking forward to seeing more of your good work.

Not much progress on the Zuma today as I've been playing with my own scoot when I get some time, but I've decided to go with the 70cc Airsal T6 BBK that came out of the E-ton Beamer. I'll keep the stock Yamaha pipe as it kinda seems the Technigas would be wasted with the stock gearing- I'd hate to put them both on yet still have have a 35mph scoot like Moofus pointed out... (gearing seems to be about 14.25:1!)

Well she runs! Not very good yet haha but it is running... Has an exhaust leak- probably because I had to "bend" the exhaust back by about 3/8" just to get the rear mount bolts in after tightening header, and has a major fuel leak at the carb, and had to add an extra amount of length to the oil pump hose- but she's runnin!

I'm curious as to what your main advertising platform is for selling all these scoots.

I'm curious as to what your main advertising platform is for selling all these scoots. Just Craigslist... It all started when I was checking CL everyday for my stolen scoot- I'd see a good deal, then another, and so on... when I finally saw a good deal on a scoot I already had some parts for (Vento Zi R3i) I jumped on it! It's all downhill from there haha. This Zuma *should* net the best profit yet- so far the only kinda nightmare one was that da&M Eton Beamer- took me 2 weeks just to get it running right!

I'm curious as to what your main advertising platform is for selling all these scoots. One owner, driven by a little old lady from Pasadena. Who just drove it back and forth to church on Sunday. Professionally restored by an expert mechanic.

I checked out that ScooterDiva site last night and there was one on there where she stripped the body down and did one amazing job painting it. I mean really, I was more than impressed. She did it in a gold and silver theme. It wasn't a Zuma if I recall but still. You should check out what some of those ladies are doing to their scoots. We all know that men can learn a bit from a woman on color and detail, maybe it will give you some ideas?
Otherwise, I'm glad you got it running so quickly. It's only a matter of time before you slap a turbo or supercharger on one of these flips lol.
