If you have to machine a 90cc case to get the 48mm crank to fit. I don't think their would be enough meat in a standard 50cc case. Yeah right? I didn't even know a 48mm like this even existed. Probably about like 190mech fitting the BWS100 crank- ran good but didn't last long!

I had a 48mm x 54mm (110cc). It's a bit of a pain IMO. None of the kits just work. 45mm will make life easier. Not saying don't do it, extra torque is nice, but the long stroke will require you to fiddle with spacers and heads and it's not good if you want higher revs. Some of them are made so they aren't much larger than a 45mm.

That's the one Oldgeek and I got. Mine is in and running but as you know it's not tuned or had any real miles put in it.

Got the cases split..just a little material to remove, looks very doable. Only put one of two bearings on. I didn't like the way the other spun. I only need one to mark spacing.

well the easy side is done. but looks like i found a thin spot. what was that some JB weld on the backside? Also this case seems to be way softer than my last build.

Stuffing some JB Weld in there should fix you up.
